There is zero evidence they had the technology capable of intergalactic flight, and yet there is evidence of the contrary. Do you have evidence?

I really hope Javik was truly the last of the Protheans. He stole the show in ME3. I'd rather not see them try and outdo themselves and fail miserably. Just give us something entirely new, and I'll be happy. I don't need an enemy that is bigger and badder than the Reapers. I don't need to save an entire galaxy all over again. I definitely don't need a "cooler" Prothean. Javik is a tough act to follow.

Well the communcation between the Prothean Empire was lost when the Reapers invaded. Virgil's group only turned off the signal for the surprise attack and they don't know what occurred acrossed the galaxy of the split Prothean Empire. Javik indicates he was born during the Prothean war against the Reapers and the Empire was all too well shattered and getting destroyed by the Reapers. 

 

The is no solid evidence that states the Protheans couldn't travese betweem galaxies, they held their own against the Reapers for a long time before their advance tech failed against the Reapers. That is all we know at this time.

I agree with this. Javik was a big part of what I love about ME3, and I think that despite flaws in the story, they really pulled off his last-of-his-kind thing and I'd hate to see a rehash of that or somehow retroactively ruin it by having yet another prothean.

Wouldn't surprise me if we saw more Protheans. I mean if the idiots of the current timeline could figure out how to get to Andromeda I'm sure they managed.

Javik was a good character. I liked it when he talked smack to the asari especially on Thessia.

 

It would be fine with me if there are Protheans in the game. If the ark/ship/whatever leaves after Thessia, we would know that the asari's goddess is a Prothean, and most likely the Protheans that are encountered in the game would know that as well. The asari in the game would bow before them saying 'by the Prothean' instead of 'by the goddess', and would say 'embrace Javik' instead of 'embrace eternity'.

Plus, there are really only three strategies for dealing with the Reapers when you get down to it...fight, hide, and run. They did the first two, with not the third too?
