belief. This is due only to reading the books however, not the show.

 

On an aside,

will not be in the show. I was eagerly awaiting that character, and was disappointed to read that character was proven unfeasible.

 

All I know is Bioware went from saying Shepard has nothing to do with the new game to hints of the character possibly being a part of the next game and Kit Harington said he was not coming back for season 6 in any capacity and then we catch him filming.

 

All I am saying is that people on the internet are far too trusting sometimes. Deception is a very important tool that many creators use to promote sequels.

When did they say "not coming back" where did you get that from? I only heard that they said he was dead.

 

I always assumed the red lady was going to bring him back right after he was killed.

Anyways I expect a big reveal at E3 this year indicating that at least some of the stuff that was said about ME3 relation to ME4 will turn out to be false.

 

I think they will be deeply involved.

Or he gets resurrected by the zombie frost king, and maybe the fire god is the real enemy or just one side of the same deity (Khronos, Saturn, Chiun BS). Jon may somehow merge both fire and ice which just happens to be the name of the series and his bloodlines as well. He might get resurrected by both at the same time.

 

I expect we will get a synthesis, Rand Al-Thor Wheel of Time, Neo-Agent Smith ending. Seems to be all the rage these days in sci fi and fantasy. And it will suck. Just hope they do not do the same to Star Wars with Plaugueis and Luke or Rey.

 

Da heck is with these stupid endings where the main character becomes god, kills god and dualism. We get it...I do not need to see the same darn story in every genre and game and movie. It is almost like they are going to keep making the same dumb movie/game until we like it. Good luck with that.

Remember the baby that was brought to the altar in Season 4. That baby is important and will play a role in the ending as the Frost Child.

A Game Of Thrones Ending

 

Given the fact that Martin has written himself into a corner by killing off every single likeable character in the story, and has left his world in such disarray at the end of his last book that the only outlook is a victory by The Others or White Walkers (TV Series) in the final series, we know only two things: Winter is coming and it will be a slaughter.

 

Daenerys wants the Iron Throne, but she’s proven she can’t be an effective ruler. She lacks the pragmatism necessary to be a ruler. All she has going for her is her dragons. She’ll have to release the other two who are really pissed at her. She has her army of Unsullied, and now she has Tyrion. Jorah Mormont is ill. And Daenerys now is surrounded by a tribe of Dothraki warriors.

 

And Westeros has only the army of King’s Landing, the Boltons and the Wildling tribes. The tribes will bend knee to no one. The Boltons will not serve the southern king. King Tommen is weak.

 

There seems to be no stopping the army of the dead except with dragon glass and fire. Winter is coming, and that will bog down all army movement, except that of The Others or White Walkers. The 4” steel door at the wall won’t stop them. They will dig around it or under it. They will climb the wall. The wall will be breached. An army of a hundred thousand will pour through, and everyone they kill will rise up and fight for them.

 

Let’s give this story the ending it deserves. Remember with high budget special effects this could look very good. If Mac Walters wrote the ending to A Game of Thrones.

 

 

The Boltons and the Lannisters don’t have the manpower to stop the White Walkers. Lord Bolton moves the bulk of his army south joining the Lannisters, leaving Winterfell in the hands of Ramsey. Seeing the Wildlings as his only means of survival, Ramsey tries to gain their loyalty by flaying their leaders. This only gets leaves his castle under siege when the army of the dead breach the wall. No one has the provisions and organization to fight them. Too many die, and rise again as White Walkers, making the army even larger. The remaining Wildlings retreat south only to be met by Lannister swords.

 

Meanwhile Cersei, acting as Queen Regent, does away with the Faith Militant, the monster she created, sparking unrest within King’s Landing. Lord Baelish gets Margaery out of the prison.

 

Daenerys wants the Iron Throne and finally has her ships. They land in the south escorted by her three dragons, the last two she’s placated with the blood of the Harpies of Meereen whom she’s not been able to control even with Tyrion as her advisor. However, the King Tommen under the urging of Cersei and Margaery refuses to bend a knee, thus starting a war between what is left of Bolton’s army, the Lannister’s army and the Unsullied. King Tommen and Margaery die by the teeth of the dragons while Cersei escapes. Both sides have their armies reduced in force by about half. The Targaryen once again rules King’s Landing and now has to deal with the onslaught of the White Walkers with an insufficient army.

 

Daenerys resorts to conscription, and this does not sit well with the population, and now growing more cynical she gives them a choice: fight or death. Daenerys makes peace with the Wildlings and gives them dominion over the North when the war is over.

 

Meanwhile Bran Stark has learned the dark secrets of the North from the spirits of the great tree. He has learned how to fly, and he has learned the secrets of The Others. He has learned that they are not invulnerable, that they are subject to control through a ritual. And he will need Melisandre to perform the ritual. Ramsay Bolton escaped from Winterfell during the battle and was trapped behind the lines. Hodor finds him and brings him to Bran where he is burned at the stake by Melisandre. A fitting end. However, this only allows Bran to control a small number of White Walkers because Ramsay wasn’t full royal blood. He needs someone like Cersei. Word of this vile experiment gets to Arya, who is now blind, and Sansa that their brother has become a monster.

 

Winter is brutal, the worst ever. Snow falls in King’s Landing and the White Walkers attack. Daenerys’ army makes one final stand, however Cersei talked Bolton into attacking King’s Landing and retaking the Iron Throne instead of lending his hand in battle against the White Walkers. The Walkers advance and despite the dragon fire, the dragon glass, and the Valyrian steel swords, the army of the south is being overrun.

 

Daenerys tries to fall back to King’s Landing, but Bolton’s army is there. She’s cut off. She’s on the battlefield, mortally wounded, her three dragons surrounding her, protecting her. Tyrion is shouting, “They’re all dead! Fall back to the harbor!” Daenerys is all alone. She passes out.

 

She finds herself on an altar far in the icy north. A Frost Child approaches. It is the same child that was brought to the altar as a baby early in Season 4.

 

“Wake up,” the child says.

 

Daenerys stirs. “Where am I?”

 

“In the Great Circle of the North, it is my home,” the child replies.

 

Daenerys sits up. “Who are you?”

 

“I am The Great Other,” he replies.

 

“I need to stop the White Walkers. Do you know how I can do that?” Daenerys asks.

 

“Perhaps. I created the White Walkers. They are my solution,” the child says while turning and walking away.

 

Daenerys stands and follows him, limping and holding the wound in her side. “Solution? Solution to what?”

 

“Chaos. You bring it on yourselves,” the child pauses and says. “Your civilizations start with small populations, struggling for survival, but eventually you figure out that trading for resources is more effective than war. However, your species is prone to greed. With this greed comes the desire for power, and to gain power you go to war. And the more inventive you become the more destructive your wars become. Eventually your wars would destroy the world. But we found a way to stop that from happening.”

 

Daenerys looks puzzled. “By wiping out human life?”

 

“No. Each long winter we emerge from the North to convert the more advanced human life into White Walkers leaving the most primitive alone just like we left your tribes alone the last time we were through,” he replied.

 

“I think we’d rather keep our own form.”

 

“You can’t. This cycle has repeated itself more times than you can imagine. Winter comes and goes, for hundreds of years, but then there comes the long winter when it is our time.”

 

Daenerys was getting angry. “But you’re taking away our hope, our freedom.”

 

“You have hope, more than you know,” the child said. “The fact that you are standing here, the first human ever proves my solution won’t work anymore.”

 

“So now what?” Daenerys asked.

 

“We find a new solution.”

 

“Why are you helping me?”

 

“You are different than the others who have walked out of the fire with the dragons. The others were not ready. You are ready,” he said and presents her with three circles. One red, one blue, and one green. “I know you want to destroy us.” In the red circle, the child shows Daenerys a vision of Jon Snow approaching an altar with a Valyrian steel dagger and plunging it into a White Walker and the Walker shatters. “But be warned, others will be destroyed as well. All those of the dragon race who made it possible for you to get here will also be destroyed. There are many more than three dragons in this world.” Once the vision fades, there is an altar with a Walker laying on it and a Valyrian steel dagger.

 

“But there will be peace?”

 

“Yes, but the peace won’t last. Soon the wars will start anew and the chaos will begin again with nothing to stop it from destroying the world.”

 

Daenerys pauses “There has to be another way.”

 

“There is,” the child says. “You could try to control us.” In the blue circle, he shows her a vision of Melisandre burning Bran Stark at the stake. Once the vision is done, there is a stake with ice in the form of logs below it.

 

“So Bran Stark was right after all.”

 

“Yes, but he could never control us because we already controlled him.”

 

“But I can?”

 

“Yes, you will die. You will lose everything you have.”

 

“But the White Walkers will obey me?”

 

“Yes. There is another way: synthesis,” he said pointing to the green circle.  “Add your energy to us joining The Others and Humans together creating a new life that will be in harmony with the world.”

 

“Wait. What?”

 

“You are of fire energy, the strongest ever. We are of ice. Our songs join together in a chorus of powerful magic, enough to transform all in the world into new life,” he said.

 

“But that will change everything. I don’t have that right.”

 

“You changed the lives of thousands in each city through which you passed. What gave you the right to do that?”

 

“They were being held slaves.”

 

“But there was a semblance of order. You left them in chaos. Many died.”

 

Daenerys sighed. “Tell me, will there be peace?”

 

“Never again will Walkers take humans,” he said. “You have a difficult choice to make and little time in which to make it.”

 

Daenerys stood still contemplating her choice and finally stepped into the green circle where a green fire shot out from her body into the night sky while she melted from existence. The image of Drogo appears smiling, then fades to Jorah nodding, then to her the images of her dragons flying. All human in the world was changed and became part Other and part human. The fighting stopped. The mindless dead army regained their sentience, and the humans looked at their skin, puzzled at their new appearance. The dragons flew back to their island leaving the people to decide their own fate. Tyrion Lannister looked up from the harbor in his new skin and knew his Queen sacrificed herself to save the world.

Jon Snow's fate is still somewhat of a mystery and Bioware has confirmed a couple of times actually that Shepard is done and it's time for another story for a different person. So yes, let it go.

I don't think Stannis is alive, he could be but right now a lot of signs point to him being dead. He might come back in some type of flashback, but that's probably all we'll get. For example one reason is the director of the episode confirmed that Stannis is dead and that during the whole script process and all that was the intent. Another is Brienne is a character who strives to fulfill her missions/duty. Her mission was to kill Stannis and it's hard for me to imagine her not killing him especially since he had a large part in Renly's death.

Much as I love Shepard it's time to move on. Seriously. If Bioware put Shepard in the game other than something like a legend with a statue or something I'll be pissed. It will honestly feel like something shoehorned into the game to pander towards a certain crowd who doesn't know when it's time to change and move on from something. That would be absolutely ridiculous if Shepard is in ME4 in some capacity. I really don't care what crazy scenarios people can come up with it -- other than acknowledging my past achievements -- I don't want to see Shepard in my game. I sure as hell don't want Bioware deciding for me what happened to Shepard after the ambiguous ending they went with in my Destroy.

 

This game has been in development forever. Seems like longer than their other big project in DAI. I'm expecting them to reinvent the Mass Effect universe with some obvious similarities to past games like maybe a few alien races. Otherwise, I want ME:A to be something new since it's in an entirely new galaxy as it is. Cutting ties with the previous games is a natural progression for this. It's #4 in the franchise so it's time to start over on the drawing board. I don't want this ending up like an Assassin's Creed annual release where you don't know which team is going to spit the quality one out.

HBO flat out said Jon Snow was dead and not coming back. This has pretty much been proven false and everyone is expecting to see Kit Harrington back next season.

 

This means that Bioware can lie about Shepard all they want.

 

Heck even indoctrination theory might even prove to be true in Andromedia.

 

Never trust what developers say that is not explicitly in the source material if they are making a sequel. If they were not planning a sequel what they say about things would be more true.

 

But the fact of the matter is if they have an upcoming game they will outright lie just like HBO did.
