I have Lag Issues with all characters
Even playing the Juggernaut in a laggy game can get nasty
actually got executed before I knew I was down, which in crappy PUG's always scares me
in that one the host rocketed the last few enemies to clear the wave and we got through to extraction (although only two of us did)
Durable characters with focus on hitscan weapons are the least affected. If I can't seem to find a reasonably lagless game, I often bring out my no-flamer GT with Claymore&PPR, which is usually all the durability I need, but there are more extreme setups out there.
no incinerate Krogan Sentinel works well, but beware of magnet hands, which in laggy games can extend to the usually easily avoided Atlases

Yeah, Krontinel with dakka can be lots of fun at times, and he's nearly unkillable - as long as you remember that he's only nearly unkillable.
Least affected by lag: Single player characters obviously.
Seriously, TGI Carrier with Grenade capacity V. Even if you fail with this combo, you'll know you definitely should change host.
Looks like I could be playing a lot of GT/Krogan or TGI
Oh wait, ![]()

Hosting is the biggest crutch in the game.
Juggernaut. Spamming Siege Pulse becomes very laborious with lag, but at least he/she/it can take one extra shot (or two, or three...) before being dropped.
Other durable characters with AoE powers are good too (krosent for example, as said above), especially if those powers stagger (Arc grenades). To sum up, the more squishy you are, and the more precise things you're trying to do, the more you're going to suffer from lag.
It's good that some of us like/are able to host due to good interwebnets, because we need the crutches. ![]()
Out of curiosity, what's going on with the AIU in this clip?
Am I appearing to them the way they are to me? (Apart from the fact that I was spectating at that particular moment).
I'd already noticed them doing the crucified lap a couple of times previously when I was still on my feet.
Edit:
The movement was me looking around.

No, we don't need no crutches. STOP HOSTING GAMES, PEOPLE!!!

Least affected by lag: Pheabus with any kits obviously.
Seriously, this guy eats lag for breakfast. Even in lag hell he could still carry the whole team ![]()

Will you PC people stop cheating one day ? ![]()
More seriously, I think that for the player using the AIU things seemed normal. I've had several games with friends where I told one of them that he was floating in the air or pretending to be Jesus, but for him everything looked normal.
Almost all infiltrators are more or less lag-friendly regardless of how bad the lag is. Most grenade classes are good especially those with lift, arc and incendiary grenades. Bouncing clusters and frag grenades are somewhat tricky in my experience and homing/sticky grenades don't even hit. Most of weapon-based builds should be fine unless turian stability glitches. Paladin is usually doing better than any other casters IMHO. If it gets to the extreme like over 300 msec, there are only a few things that work more or less reliably. IMO, weapon-based destroyer, juggernaut, and collector adept with PPR are most reliable.
Pheabus is an utmost expert on these things.

Apparently can't do that with EA servers dropping me out in like every 10 mins, though
.
Saw you online this afternoon but the moment I launched ME3, my friend list went blank, effin' Origin working as intended nevermind, off-topic.![]()
On topic: characters with pet powers like Combat Drone and Sentry Turret work well off-host (provided that you go full power build), even on laggest situations you can steal kills without moving a finger.

Steam has also been acting weird since yesterday (I swear I could see other people's phone numbers). Can only play Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes with friends atm ![]()
On topic: bomb defusing as an objective could be really fun in MEAMP. Think of all the possibilities caused by lag ![]()

"Acting weird"? That's an understatement if I ever saw one. It's a monumental f***-up from Valve.

Don't worry, Valve has arrived to provide a contender for the best "move along, nothing to see here" statement of the year.
OT:
Fat Turian Sentinel is basically perfect in every situation, including lag. The racial stability might flake out, but even without it this fat turian's natural panache and dashing good looks are just as potent off-host as on.

Yeah... I also loved how they shut down the whole service while saying (I'm paraphrasing here) that "in the meanwhile why don't you go to steampowered.com and buy some more games". ![]()
The Juggernaut always looks like he's lagging even when he's not.
Also Drell Assassin. That remote mine/tactical cloak refresh bug is among the worst of the infiltrators' lot, but with that absurd speed and the fact that I tend to deploy Remote Mine at spawn points and rarely move it, he does pretty well for me even in very laggy games. It may be a playstyle thing.
