So this just happened to me in game. My Elf Archer Rogue is an Assassin. I just killed the hardest dragon in Empress Du Lion in less than 10 seconds on Normal Difficulty with all of the trials active. Thought id share in case anyone wants to try out this build/ Combo.

I think this happened largely due to the 2 on hit 10% hidden blades on my inquisitor's armor and bow. All I did was Mark of Death, followed by Hidden Blades, and then Throwing Blades. My guess is that my Hidden Blades Proc must have gone off for every hit of my throwing and hidden blades causing a subsequent stream of Hidden Blades to Proc in rapid succession, by the Time that Mark Of Death went off, it must have accumulated so much damage that it killed the dragon instantly.

Was that solo or with a full party?

Same build can solo one-shot the Highland Ravager in Nightmare, as long as crit/crit is high enough, or if you have flanking buffs.

Highland Ravager, while the highest level dragon, is a bit of a gimme due to the dragon starting out asleep/un-aggro and also can't fly. It's a bit tougher with Kaltenzahn.

There are many builds that can one-shot the Highland Ravager on Nightmare. Here is an Archer/Tempest solo build:

It has a lot of min/max optimizations: Qunari, MO tonic, flanking position, etc.

To answer you question, yes i had my group, but fight ended in less than 10 seconds so i don't think it was anything they were doing. Cool, I'll try that build my next playthrough.

lols. It's to do with throwing blades upgrade. The dragon's armor must have dropped to like 0 before your hidden blades proced (also mark of death as well). In MP using silent sister I got some crazy damage figures by exploiting throwibg blades on heartbreaker bosses(like a screen full of 50 to 68k damages per hit)

The damage buff lasts too long and it stacks indefinitely, apply to all damage sources and most of the multi hit abilities seem to stack up the damage as if they were part of your throwing blades.

Try tempest rogue, flask of fire then spam throwing blades to see your damage number fly.

Or you can build an artifier inquisitor, take varric and sera, set the ai to throwing blades, leap shot and flask of fire only. Then control your quisi to spam throwibg blades as well. That's how to wreck the ultimate damage.

P.S. could do with a mark of death fron cole as well.

Also there is a mod called pandemonium difficulty on Nexus. Use that to change enemy health multiplier to 10, then use the above set up to see how high you can pump ur damage up.
