... Why isn't there a dialogue option to get her autograph? My character is a big fan of Hawke but the interaction was rather dry and all about business. We talk about Hawke's deeds more with Varric than with Hawke. Hawke romance would have blown my mind; I've never heard of a RPG where your character can romance another one of your own character.

Hawke?  Hawke?   Ohhh...  that gent/lady I left in the fade.  Multiple times.  I've moved on. :)

What am I supposed to say. GTFO?

I mean, it might work short-term, but it won't change anything.

Maybe I could tactically facepalm, but once again, you'll just scoff.

Oh, yeah. How about NO to romancing YOURSELF. Suggesting that makes you weird in half the BSN's eyes.

How about solving the situation at hand instead of talking about the past?

Remember Origins? (I doubt you do, actually.) Landsmeet was talking and that was it. Then the Warden came, and they started ACTING.

Would you kindly just disappear?

That's the Warden motto, mate.

Exactly!  You know, the people I -don't- leave behind? ;)

As far as the whole "romancing yourself" thing, though, why not?  Nobody hotter than me, so it isn't like I could do worse.  Though I'm straight, so that could be a minor hiccup...

**** man, I'm sorry. I forgot you're the perfect Human specimen and ladies drool the moment they see you. It's my fault, man, all my fault!

Please, don't punish me! I mean... I'm the perfect example of Elven Glory, yeah?...

I mean, In Peace - VIGILANCE! In War - VICTORY! In Death - SACRIFICE!

Though some come to the Sacrifice part a lot sooner.

Well, I'll just say DAO is the game with big themes of death.. So I killed my Warden the first time.. and then did it again the last time :P

It just fits for me. Conversely, I think Hawke and the Inquisitor need a freaking life.

As for the OP, I wouldn't have minded more with Hawke, I guess.

*DING-DING*

...

"PUT UP FISTS!"

"KEEP CRYYIIING BAYBEEEEEE!!!"

"WAAAAAAAH!!!!!"

...

...

...

"I hear a Smoker..."

"I hear a Witch!"

"LIGHTS!  OFF!"

...

"Frank West!"

"I covered wars, ya know!"

*BONK*

...

And he's down!

BLU team is still fighting RED team over who-knows-what.

The survivors have yet to sneak past the Witch, so no telling how that's gonna turn out.

I don't know who that last guy was...

Nevertheless, the verdict over how Hawke was handled in Dragon Age: Inquisition may never be reached; considering the millions of players and the countless playstyles that have to be considered and accommodated in a BioWare game, it is literally impossible to cover every conceivable possibility in every conceivable scenario.

This BioWare connoisseur  respects the opinion of the original poster, even if the 'romancing yourself' thing is bit wrong on several levels.

In any event, this has been brought to you by Shepard Enterprises, a subsidiary of N7 Industries, affiliated with Thedas International.

"We're the main protagonist in these epic tales, and these (Mass Effect, Dragon Age) are our favorite stories on the Citadel and in Thedas!"

We hope you enjoyed this broadcast, or at least brought a smile to your day.

Embrace eternity, and Maker be with you.

I should go.

Stroud is the one who always stays for me. :)

Also, there is no way I'd want to romance any of the custom made Hawkes in DAI. All those dudes end up so ugly looking and look nothing like my DA2 Hawkes no matter how hard I try to get them to look right. Poor Anders is going to be so upset when he sees Hawke again after I've had to try to recreate him for DAI.

I liked Hawke, but I sacrificed him because I thought it made for a better story. It sounds like we might run into Stroud, Loghain, or Alistair, or Hawke at Weisshaupt in a future game, and IMO it makes much more sense for a Warden to be sorting out whatever went wrong there, than Hawke. Also, I liked Stroud.

All right, I will agree that the option to be all fanboy/girly toward Hawke would have been pretty fun. XD

It's hard for me not to sacrifice Hawke because I enjoyed seeing him/her again and I felt they still had some potential for the overall story and all. I kept Hawke for my playthroughs where Stroud was the Warden, but I did sacrifice Hawke on my playthrough where Alistair was the Warden. It's mainly personal preference for me.

My canon Inquisitor won't leave the Wardens leaderless, so off my beloved Hawke goes. :(

I think it was mentioned by a Dev on Twitter, maybe Patrick Weekes, that Hawke may not be dead. I wonder when we'll know what that means.

Also romancing Hawke means making him or her a fixed entity so...no. Would not work.
