RWS Pocket Ship Interior Walls Missing in Isometric Mode

This seems to be intentional, but I'm not sure, and I want to know if anyone else has this issue. 

 

In-game, the pocket ship interior walls are missing unless you're in first-person mode. I took screenshots of both modes. I was quite surprised to see this when I started playtesting this area, because I typically play in isometric mode.

I couldn't find a setting on the tiles anywhere that seemed to affect this. This is the first time I've seen an interior tile show/hide walls based on camera mode. 

 

Is there any way to make the walls show up in isometric mode? Is this a bug?

Happens to me too, and I left it like that until I find a solution, if it exists. Then I forgot to search, so thank you for posting this. Bump :).

Andy, did it happen for you when you played in the ship interior in mine?  It doesn't happen for me, and no one has mentioned walls disappearing, so I assume not.

That might happen if a tile wall is actually part of the ceiling.

Tchos is right, this did not happen in playing his mod for me. I have not used this set yet to know for myself.

So the question is... what's different about the set of tiles Tcho is using?

Got it figured out. 

 

It's kamal_'s tile textures. I'm sure Andy is also using them. 

 

If you remove the contents of the pocket_ships folder under kamals tiles, then the walls persist in all camera modes. 

 

I'm guessing it was an accident on kamal_'s part.

I would be keen to know what happened. I have to re-texture this set shortly for SOAR.

IIRC the stock set is not re-texturable by default, and this was partially because of issues with the naming of the parts of the tile models. I believe I had to rename model parts to enable retexturing. This likely is the root cause.

I will copy the original models and reassign the texture filenames to a new set.

 

I only need two or three tiles I think.
