Zevran for me. I just found it so fun and sweet. Iron Bull is a close second.

They're all pretty meh to me now that I think about it, at least for they guys'. Zevran was annoying and I hated that he had to state that he preferred females more than males and that he constantly had to check in with the player to see whether they were cool with him being gay; Anders had a terribly neurotic personality and him blowing up the Chantry did no favors for the romance for me; Fenris was a moody crybaby and his after speech was incredibly cringeworthy; Dorian's inability to say what he wanted and newness to a relationship was just sad and nowhere as cute, IMO, as I think they wanted it to be; and Iron Bull's was just boring to me. If I absolutely had to choose one, I'd go for Anders' because there were some cute and heartfelt moments in the romance, though again, I really didn't care for his personality or the way his story ended. And even though I prefer the DA series to the ME series, I vastly preferred Kaidan and Steve to all the S/S romances in the DA series.

Well, I just finished Sera's romance for the first time recently and it was so heartwarming. I even cried happy tears when she and my adorable dwarf got married. BioWare is turning me into a sap, or maybe I was already a sap and I just didn't know it...yeah, that's probably more likely.
The entry in Sera's journal after the wedding is especially heartwarming and adorably sweet. With much of Sera's internal conflict having to do with trust and learning to overcome her past. ![]()

I loved the moments when you have her in your party and you're dealing with demons and at first she's super scared but then stops and says something like,"but you're here so I'll be okay." So adorable. The entry in Sera's journal after the wedding is especially heartwarming and adorably sweet. Dorian, bar none. The angst factor is very high on the list of reasons why I like it. I like that the relationship is about growth and healing, and also that he trusts and respects the Inquisitor regardless of whether they are in a romance. I also like it because Dorian is his own person. I thought it was so wonderful to see his trust and confidence in the relationship in Trespasser, that he knows that even though you will be separated the relationship will continue.
Dorian's inability to say what he wanted and newness to a relationship was just sad and nowhere as cute, IMO, as I think they wanted it to be...
I... don't think that was meant to be cute at all. I am completely serious. I generally don't think that Dorian's is a cute romance. There are a couple of reactions from the Inquisitor that can be classified as cute, but I don't think Dorian ever is. Sweet, yes, absolutely, but not cute.

None from DA2 because all those romances were poorly done. My favorite is probably Sera and a female qunari. There's so much content; including race-specific which is fairly unique for her romance. There's plenty of unique scenes, romance lines, journal entries, party banters, and even the whole nickname thing.

Between the iron bull and dorian, i like them for different reasons, iron bull romance offers more in the way of interaction , the drama in dorian's was good also.
Altho not the best, i will always love anders. He was first in the DA games to make me yell oh F what did you just do out loud to my tv.

Sera is THRILLED to be with you and she's ready and willing to punch people in the throat the moment they start talking **** about your relationship. When she's scared, she looks to you, and she couldn't care less about your title or money or resources. She just loves you and she loves that you love her. She's so scared of being with you because she knows losing you will hurt like hell, but it's worth it because "being for someone else" is brilliant. I love her journal entries (she's determined to learn stuff for your sake, not to mention devastated if you break up). She tries to do all these sweeping romantic gestures and sort of fumbles with them but that just makes the attempt sweeter (trying and failing to make the bracelet out of your hair, getting you a hat but it's ugly but HEY EVERYONE'S HITTING IT WITH STICKS, her marriage proposal and the lead-up to it). Sera's a bundle of insecurity and confidence and love and I adore her.
With Fenris, I like how he's completely taken aback by your initial flirting... but, tellingly, isn't uncomfortable with it. He's just baffled that you're interested at all because (in his mind), you're this strong, handsome, charismatic person and he's... not. He's just a broken ex-slave with no future and next-to-no past. I played a snarky Hawke, so getting him to crack a smile and laugh every now and then was very rewarding. If you wait those three years for him to sort his head out, he's so apologetic that it hurts, and when you tell him that you always understood then it's, like, HOT DAMN MAKEOUT CITY EVERY TIME. He's just a big ol' bundle of devotion and passion and protectiveness. Nothing could be worse than the thought of living without you, indeed.
From a storytelling standpoint, I thought Isabela, Anders, Merrill, Leliana, and Dorian were all done very well. Their romances feel complete and they're all great characters. (I LOVE Bull
I also loved Bull and Dorian's romance with each other, Sera and Dagna's (unfortunately offscreen) romance, and Harding's pseudomance with the Inquisitor.

Cute may not be the right word, but the way they played up his inability to express what he really wanted and not knowing what a relationship between two men was like felt as though they were trying too hard to garner sympathy from the players, at least to me. Personally, it felt pitiful to me which is why I didn't care too much for his romance.

Well to me this is the whole point of the romance in the first place, and why it leads to an arc of healing and growth for him. But it's not everyone's cup of tea, and I get that.
Of course, it also helps that the head-canon between he and my Inquisitor is very much of a give and take, and mutual support kind of relationship. So for me it's not just about Dorian needing these things, but also about how being in a relationship, a real relationship, is about being there for the other person because you care about them.

Fenris: He's so angry, bitter, and lonely. By romancing him, Hawke is basically the only good thing in his life, and I very well couldn't allow him to be so miserable. So romance it is. The dynamics between him and a romanced mage Hawke adds another interesting layer as well. His fierce, deadly loyalty and devotion to Hawke is evident by the end, and also in Hawke's Inquisition dialogue.
Dorian: Again, he's very lonely and insecure deep down. The Inquisitor, romanced or not, has the potential to be basically his only friend and the one good thing in his life. (And if I don't romance Dorian, then I go for Bull, so Dorian doesn't have anyone else to fall back on. The Inquisitor really is the only friend he has). My Inquisitors tend to get very protective of Dorian, despite the fact that he can take care of himself ( Like when Solas gets really rude with Dorian.... it irks me to no end). Behind the snark, Dorian is also one of the nicest companions we've had to date.
Iron Bull: I was skeptical of his romance at first with the whole 'I know what you need' thing, but after giving it a try, Bull's romance is actually quite sweet. Showing him that it is okay to place his friends and loved ones above the Qun, and his continued life and happiness as a Tal-Vashoth, is great.
I can't really pick a favorite from these three.

hmmmm if they wouldn't have fucked with Anders it would be Anders but as it is ...
DORIAN
he's just all kinds of things I like and respect. I do not hook up Dorian and Bull anymore because of reasons.
I never romanced Bull although I do like the BDSM relationship he offers. Dorian's pull is too strong

Fenris/Zevran : completely unappealing physically to me and I never found them interesting enough to at least try.
Anders : I actually really like him. He feels like a real person with his own goals, and I love the arguments if you're templar-sided. You can feel he really loves Hawke.
Iron Bull : I love his character, I really do, but I think his romance was terrible. It's cringy and forces a submissive personality on your PC. The latter isn't so bad but I would have liked a bit of power play besides being shut down by a "Shut up you need this". The "love" part is also missing a bit. The relationship is supposed to be very sexual yes but it feels like your PC is forcing himself on him (Trespasser banter is the only time the love felt mutual). Will still probably keep him as my canon Inquisitor romance, he's a sweet guy as his Dorian romance shows, I just feel Bioware kind of missed the mark.
PS : Please Bioware give us different animations for male and female it's really jarring.
Dorian : I rolled my eyes at first with the whole "first fully gay character" stuff and the flamboyant gay man with daddy issues archetype, but in the end he ended up as one of my favorite characters. His romance is sweet, if a bit lacking I feel. Still, he is a good and strong man with convictions, I wouldn't mind seeing more of him.

I'm surprised Leliana hasn't gotten more support. Maybe her fans just haven't shown up yet, but I've always been under the impression that she was a massively popular s/s romance. Didn't the devs say more players romanced Leliana as a woman than finished the game as a rogue..?
Well, I have to sleep sometimes, don't I, Bubele?
I adore Leliana above all other romances combined because she is such an interesting mass of contradictions. She's incredibly girly, yet she has no problem tromping through the wilderness and fighting darkspawn. She's very playful, but she is cultured and smart. She likes the finer things, but she's not picky (she ate Alistair's cooking for a year! You can't be picky after that!)
And of course this:
So cuuuuuuuuuuute!
