I love Dorian and my Lavellan.  I like the fact that he is gay, so you don't get the same opportunity as a female PC to romance him but alternatively you get to see how much the Inquisitor does mean to him as a friend. That is the problem with the earlier romances, they play out exactly the same with either sex, although I have to admit that Zevran saying he prefers a woman's curves actually made me feel our relationship was an emotional one as a man.   In any case, as I play elves, the differences between man and woman aren't that extreme.    There is something about the way my big, strong Hawke manhandles Fenris that made me feel uncomfortable about it, even though the later scenes are very touching.

I was a bit disappointed in the main game that Dorian didn't say he loved me (although it was strongly implied) and was always a bit worried that if he went back to Tevinter the writers were going to use it to end the relationship.   So Trespasser made it perfect for me.  We both finally declared our love and Dorian assured me that no matter what "there will always be an us."   It was a pity though that we didn't get a marriage scene like Sera, particularly after the joke from Varric made me think we would.  I'm also a bit disappointed that post main game the writers seem to be promoting the Bull/Dorian romance over the Inquisitor/Dorian one, even though in game I feel the Inquisitor/Dorian romance is by far the deeper one and actually what Dorian was really looking for.  It is an equal partnership built on mutual respect.   (I only know about Bull romances from You Tube since neither Dorian, nor my Inquisitor ever get together with him in my games but I don't like the "I know what you need" and that is to be submissive to him idea, which is why it is not going to happen).

I have to admit though, considering Dorian's inclination seems to be towards big, beefy types, it really makes me feel that he loves my Lavellan for who he is and did so really right from the start.   I can't help laughing, though, every time I hear Dorian call my Lavellan "Strapping."   He is either being ironic or trying too hard because those words really don't match with the elven physique.

Sera is too rustic for me. Strident. Brrr... (and ugli...) Josephine ugly and too... gold... frumpish. Dorian good: elegant, charming, noble and sarcastic. Cassandra good to, except her bow-leggs :), and for my tasty she is too serious (i dont like the ppl, who take her/himself too seriously...). Cullen good old knight. Likeable. Iron Bull. Not too qunary, for me. Sten and Arishok was much interest :) But: Bull like drink and his team. good points, likeable. Blackwall: Nice! Old warden, i like him. Solas: nearly perfect! (Just bald... a little bad point for him.)

Cassandra, Cullen, Blackwall and Solas aren't same sex romances.

Here are all the (potential) same sex romances:

Leliana

Zevran

Isabela

Fenris

Merril

Anders

Dorian

Iron Bull

Sera

Josephine

I haven't seen many people mention Merril, come to think of it. Isabela seems to be the most popular so far.

Sera is my second-favourite Inquisition romance so far. The romance is adorable, and there's so much content! Especially if you're playing a qunari. Also, her gift quest is easily one of the funniest things in the entire series.

Of course, my favourite Inquisition romance so far is Blackwall, so I'm used to being in the minority ...

(For the record, for me so far it goes: Blackwall, Sera, Dorian, Solas, Josephine. Haven't tried Bull, Cassandra or Cullen yet. I found the Solas romance interesting but really unbalanced - all the great bits are right at the end, and then he breaks up with you. Josephine's romance is sweet but rather slight compared to the others. I really liked all of my top three, just to differing degrees.)

I have never played a same sex game but, wish my male inquisitor could romance Sera.

Sera is cute in her own ways but,to be honest I like people people instead of characters that look like fashion models.

Well, I have to sleep sometimes, don't I, Bubele?

I adore Leliana above all other romances combined because she is such an interesting mass of contradictions. She's incredibly girly, yet she has no problem tromping through the wilderness and fighting darkspawn. She's very playful, but she is cultured and smart. She likes the finer things, but she's not picky (she ate Alistair's cooking for a year! You can't be picky after that!)

And of course this:

So cuuuuuuuuuuute!

I knew you wouldn't let me down, querida.

I haven't seen many people mention Merril, come to think of it.

Just wait til Xil shows up!

Bull is the prettiest fashion model of them all.

As a same sex romance I think Leliana is my favorite one. (Even if I'm not  that fond of her in DAI)

She just hits all the nice, fuzzy buttons and is such a nice light in the darkness of the wardens life. And a good lockpicker (*shakes fist at Zevran*). Her romance path also has some parts where you just hang out talking about simple things like stories, clothes or the stars. So when the adventure is over you could see them settling down somewhere. (Even if they don't).

Of the whole lot in general I think Bull is my favorite as a person, since he's easy going, funny and delightfully dirty. Before he came around it would probably have been Zevran since their favorable attributes are rather similar.

I do like the others as well. :)

Same here! Zevran and his false advertising. I like to headcanon that my Warden gives him the murder eyes whenever Zevran flirts with Leliana (which is everytime they speak).

One more point in favor of Leliana for me: she's the only redhead. That's very important! *nod nod*

Merrill is great, but her body model makes her lose a bit. She looks just fine in either of her armors and her personality is something I dig (well, the demony bits, not entirely, but enough) but when she goes in her undies, I feel like a pedo because of how her body model is. Inquisitors are just fine in that regard.

I suppose I'll have to choose Sera, because she's awesome. And then, Leliana's is pretty good, too.

Sera? Cute? No. Merrill: cute (but of course, tiresome too, but not than Sera. Merrill so mutch likeable). Sera: robust, vulgar, low class. (Good character, but i dont like)

My favorites: Fenris, Dorian: noble, and here and there sarcastic, Zevran: vulgar, but have some style, chic, and: humorous. Anders funny, but just in Avakening and in DAII: Act 1–2. At finish he lost his charm, BUT its ok in the story. He lost himself. (And Anders a bit too dramatic... but this acceptable).

Sera is my favourite romance of any type in a Dragon Age game yet, same sex or otherwise. I love the nicknames, I love her diary, I love her passion, I love the ups and downs, and I love how it develops in Trespasser. I've not completed any of the other same sex options in Inquisition yet, so that could change, but I doubt it. She just pips Leliana for me. Zevran's romance didn't move me at all and I wasn't particularly impressed by any of the DA2 romances...

Sera? Cute? No.

My favourite ones were Zevran, Fenris and Isabela.

Zevran is fun, loyal and kind in his own way. He recites horrible sex poetry just to cheer up the Warden, and he is one of the few people who seems interested in how the Warden is holding up. And he's a big sap once he is in love with the Warden.
I also like how you can see him gradually trusting you. He is also quite understanding and pragmatic. It's a pity that his cameo in DA2 was bugged and he doesn't appear at all in DA:I but I also liked that he wasn't around because he was with the Warden.

Fenris.. well, his voice is amazing and I really like him as a character. I really like how the friendmance was written and how happy it felt. They were pretty good friends and they remained pretty good friends even after their first night. They also trust each other and Fenris really likes Hawke, even if you are not romancing him.
I love the chemistry with a sarcastic!Hawke, it's a match made in tactlessness heaven.
(And they are both very honest about it. "Hawke, I don't know what to say to comfort you after your mother's death." "That's fine, thanks for trying. Sorry for that joke while you were telling me about your horrible past" "That's fine, thanks for listening and trying to understand")

I like everything about Isabela and I like how her romance reflects her feelings and issues about what's happening between her and Hawke. She doesn't want a serious relationship or to fall in love, but it happens and she manages to deal with it and to give love a chance.
She is also funny and kind and and her romance is another happy one once they decide to get together and I like how she shows it off. She tells Varric to write something about her and Hawke, brags to Sebastian and immediatly points out to Tallis that Hawke is involved with her.
(Yeah, I loved that she was jealous of Hawke only if she was female, and that she is softer to a female Hawke.)
And dueling the Arishok for her is pretty amazing. And it was heartbreaking when she left for three years: the writing really showed how she felt during that time.

I did like the other romances, but they were not my favourite for various reasons. Anders an Merrill had a lot of stuff going on and it made me sometimes wonder if Merrill and Hakwe did ever do anything together for fun in their freetime, if they had any.
But I loved moving in with Anders and Merrill and how all the s/s romance are accepted by Hawke's family and friends and random citiziens. Gamlen's approval, while given in his own unique Gamlen's way, was nice.

I really really liked both Dorian and Josephine in Inquisition, but I prefer Dorian with Bull and I think that Josephine could have used a bit more content. But I really appreciate being able to play such a sweet romance and their ending in Trespasser. The Iron Bull is great but not my favourite and I feel like he's better off with Dorian.
I really want to romance Sera but it's taking a while.

I have no opinion about Leliana. She's sweet and my only F/F option in DA:O and I romanced her and...that's it.

That's cool.. I don't like Morrigan but,its all in the taste. There are those that don't like Leliana in DA:O.

My warden's sweetie will always be Leliana in DA:O and I hate what they did to her in DA:2 and DA:I.

Sera is what she is.. I wish she was romanceable to my male inquisitor.

Say, who do you think, among the same sex love interests, is the:

Quirkiest?

Prettiest?

Sexiest?

Nicest?

Neediest?

Smartest?

I would go, in order: Sera, Leliana, Leliana, Josephine, Merril, Dorian.

I never said her body is ugly. I said her body is so thin it looks like a child's. Which is funny because she literally HAS to be an adult because of the Vallaslin.

This is impossible, cara mia!

I'm gonna say Sera, Merrill, Sera or Bull or Dorian or , Josephine or Merrill, almost all of them, and maybeee... Dorian? Merrill? I guess it depends on their area of expertise! Fenris is certainly intelligent, but not educated; Sera's quick-witted and street smart, but not especially book smart...

Geez, now I'm confused!
