Ok first I dont want a spoiler for the end of the game so if youve beat it already dont ruin it for me or any others reading the post please lol.....

Now is it me or do the eyes of the Illusive Man scream Im a Reaper in human form? I know its not the case im sure but it would be a cool twist.

Also Im really really annoyed that after romancing Ash in ME1 all I get is her pissed off at me and thats it? I mean whats the point of the love interest in ME1 then? Hell Shep even has a photo of her on his desk in his room in ME2. Plus when seeing her for the first time in ME2 she said she loved me . WTF man? Miranda doesnt say a damn word to you for a long time really so I lost interest there. Kelly is a one time thing so I hear. But Bioware said love interests in ME1 will play out in ME3........If your loyal to them. Really? ME3? I dont wanna wait that long. Grr.

I kept thinking the same thing about TIM. Won't reveal if I was correct though...

Addressing your LI comment, Bioware wanted to hold off on the ME1 LI to have a more dramatic role in ME3. Basically, they are testing your faithfulness to your original LI now. If you aren't faithful, there would be "reprucussions" in ME3. Lame, I know, so the wait better be worth it!

Addressing your comment about TIM, I actually like his eyes. Everytime I see him, I think "Damn, that's badd ass! I wish I had those irl!"

Ohh I agree his eyes are bad ass in the WTF creppy but cool way haha.

As for the LI, yeah it better pay off in ME3 cause unlike a lot of ppl I like Ash as a character. Hope it goes forward.

Same with me. I like kaidan alot and these new FemShep LI's are really, really tempting.... But I will not let her stray!

I wonder though about the ME2 LI's. Are they real or are they just a distraction? I would like to know if those who prefer the new ME LI's over the old ones, will they be rewarded by having that relationship continue on?

I mean for a game where choices matter, why are we forced to have an exculsive relationship with an ME1 LI that we don't care for then "punished" for it?

Idk about Male sheps since i only have one but my second femshep is really, really into Garrus. I wonder if she will still have her romance with him in ME3....

Hmm *ponders*

I know. I dont like that Ash punished me for my "choice" to be with Cerberus. I mean its not like I HAD a choice to stay with the Alliance anyway. I mean I love how dark and gritty the game is. Its just I miss my LI with Ash from the first game. When I saw her again I got all excited lol. Then she shot me down and im thinking this sucks! Idk hope it all pans out in ME3 im staying loyal to Ash.

I didn't sign up to be a guinea pig or a mouse in a maze...nor do I want to be some part of some social experiment. What is Bioware...Cerberus? And I don't find the new love interests tempting at all. It's almost like they had to make you dislike your old LI by having a fight with them or having them seem distant(Liara) so that you'd get mad enough with them to go for the new ones. I despise manipulation.

Very true. What im hearing a lot of ppl talk about is your LI from ME1 will play a big role in ME3 if you stay loyal. But the thing is ME3 will come out when lol.....Like 2 or 3 years from now at least? I mean its worth playing the game a few times just to see what the new LI's are like then to just keep a save game file of you being "loyal" Im just annoyed my old interest with Ash is pretty much down the tube. Its annoying that they really do try to make you mad at them. So I agree with you Michelle7. Who knows what the rest of the game brings. Maybe Ash will make another appearance.

I never romanced in ME1, but the whole Ashley meet-n-greet threw me for a loop. It seems to me (maybe cause I never romanced her) she didnt give a **** about you. Doesnt matter, I like Meranda better. 2 years rebuilding you, thats dedication! While Liara and Ash go **** around for those 2 years....whose loyal now Bioware?

Meranda > Ash, Liara.

Hell, even Tali joined up with you even when she wasent fond of cerberus.

i really liked ash's reaction. it was true to character how they let her show her feelings, but at the same time be aware that she is a soldier through and though. i did feel she was a little irrational about not being contacted though. i'm with shep on that one :P hmmm also it's almost like she broke up with shep, the way she said goodbye.

Just because I feel it bears questioning, does anybody have a source on "the devs said cheating on your LI will have repercussions on ME3"? Because I honestly think this is a case of fans taking things they heard from other fans and assuming a dev said so. I've never seen a dev source on this tidbit of info, and it seems like it'd be a shame to get people's hopes up and end up wrong.

To clarify, I have never seen a dev say any of the following:

That ME1 LI's will play a bigger role in ME3.

That ME2 LI's are "testing your loyalty".

That ME1 relationships will start back up in ME3, or that the option will be available to do so.

I'm not saying these things are false, but it'd be a good idea not to get one's hopes up until a dev working on ME3 comes in and says "Yes, we're doing this thing."

I believe it is apart of the story. Only bioware can know how this story ends they made the game by the way in three parts. Also it is your choice to "cheat" or not. You have to remember this is a trilogy. All these things happen for a reason. Plus, I'd find it hard to believe that anyone of the original LI's (or anyone in real life) would welcome you with open arms after you've been gone for 2 years. I mean they thought you were dead. That is a serious ordel and your siding with one of the enimes in mass effect 1. Remember what they did? Killed your alliance men, terriorist actions, experiments on soliders, fed soliders to thrasher Maws....I think that would cause chaos and confusion for any couple.

Also the fact that "we had a fight, so that gives me the right to cheat" argument has no significance in the real world. I fight with my fiance but I do not openly run into another mans arms. This scenario has the most realistic feel. All real relationships go through rough spots. I think death and galaxy in peril qualifies for rough times. I really like Kaidan/Ash/Liara and they must be going through some tough times, struggling with grief, loss and all these new found feelings after finally seeing you after so long. Give them a break.
I still want my Garrus love for ME3, LOL :kissing:

I did see in a interview that your ME1 LI will be a part of ME3 but that was months ago and I dont remember where I saw it. Ill find it again though im sure.

And I agree that It does seem like Ash was breaking up with Shep when she said goodbye. I mean the tone in her voice had that "ill never talk to you again" sound to it. Idk, I just miss my LI with Ash haha. Call me "loyal"

It was in one of the interviews with Casey Hudson about 1-2 months ago. He said the reason ME1's LI were not playable in ME2 is because they will have a fairly large and important role in ME3. This is also where the word of cheating on them will have consequences in ME3 came from.

I can't remember the links off the top of my head but I read this statement in multiple interviews with him. So just look for interviews concerning ME2 relationships or something.

The illusive man is a human radical, I put him as a polar opposite of what a reaper is ( though the end result may be similar) his eyes are implants, for sure, but that is not completely uncommon .
