Hello everyone. I thought it would be handy to make a topic where all of us can discuss and talk about 

stuff we know or want to know about Mass Effect Andromeda. 

Speaking for myself, the hype train is real and i am eager to know everything about Andromeda.

 

Lets use this topic to share all we know and what we want to expect from BioWare.

I will start of with a video i made covering the confirmend and released info from the past years:

Way too early for hype train. Exhausting trying to keep up that kinda of stamina for that long. Did it once with DAI and once we were about two weeks out, I just could not anymore. Was too tired to be excited anymore. LOL

There isn't enough information about the game to even get the hype train out of the station.

I'm starting to see the wisdom behind Bethesda's approach. As near as I can tell, they didn't even acknowledge the existence of FO4 until they were ready to unveil it, and start revealing a lot of pertinent information about it. The result was the generation of a great deal of excitement, and hype that was fully sustained up to release.

Bioware has occasionally shown in-game (alpha?) footage of things that end up getting cut from the finished product, which tends to lead to consumers feeling like they were promised content that was not delivered.

Of course, at this point, we've already been advised that ME:A is under development, and has a tentative delivery date of late 2016. We've also seen a couple of trailers, but still know precious little about it.

I'm curious, but will reserve any potential excitement or getting hyped for that time when we have a lot more information and a more definitive release date.

My hype is greatly diminished due to who is involved in the game, recent Bioware behavior, and and how they attack criticism of their games. Bioware is not the same company post Mass Effect 2 and sadly I do not think they ever will be again. The fact we have people high up at Bioware conversing with criminals like Sam Maggs on a daily basis on twitter? Does not inspire me with a lot of hope.

I see her comments above, but it doesn't really seem any different than a lot of the stuff that gets posted here on a daily basis.

Someone who promotes Mass Effect, DA:I and ONLY the most recent Bioware games all day every day on her twitter and in any "game journalist" article she writes, calls anyone who thought the character of Rey in the new Star Wars movie was a little too powerful or got out of trouble too easily compared to Luke a "woman hater" and a bigot and did the same defending DA:I.

 

She is required by law to list any gifts or monetary compensation she receives from EA/Bioware (and Disney) while doing this. She has regular conversations with people at Bioware.

 

Oh and from her own comments she really wants Andromeda to be a farmville with dating elements and not "Mass Effect" and this is who Bioware communicates with on Twitter.... 

 

You can report Sam Maggs to the FTC here. Every single item she has ever received from Bioware has to be disclosed since she writes articles promoting them and uses her Twitter to defend and advertise for them. She should be heavily fined and be in jail, while she calls people bigots.

Hype only leads to high exceptations, which in turn leads to dissapointment. Stay grounded and just look forward to it in a normal way.

I am not going to board this train. I love Mass Effect. They are games that I will hold on to until the day I die. But after Inquisitions mediocre attempt at an open world that was more exploratory than story driven, I am afraid Andromeda, that focuses on exploration as its foundation, I am afraid it will once again be an empty open world with no worthwhile content.

But hey, with this mindset, I should be pleasantly surprised
