UPDATE

I'm still getting the message, but old saves (from previous playthroughs) have the mission down as completed. It's acting up a bit but it might be playable. This is new within the last few mins. I don't know if it was triggered it to suddenly work (if it doesn't act up in any way)

Long story short, Origin suddenly put a large number of files onto my desktop and I couldn't delete or move them, so I reinstalled Origin. Of course I had to reinstall my games, and I did ME1 first cos I had been playing through it recently. Thing is, I can't play it cos BDTS isn't installed. It won't let me play.

I've tried both of these download links:

which lead me to this:

that ends at this:

I hope it's just me being stupid... I've done all I can to try and fix this problem.

I've reinstalled ME1 twice FYI.

The links you posted are for the original retail version of ME1...

Pinnacle Station is available only in the Origin digital copy (along with BDtS) and it, and BDtS, is free.. (Pinnacle Station is not available for download for the original retail version of ME). The download of BDtS found within EA Help is for the old retail version only (and it no longer requires a key). You can tell if your install was the original retail version by looking at the install directory - if ME exists under EA then its the old, if it exists under Origin Games its the new.

The installer, meant for the older retail game, fails because the directory structure is different for the Origins download of ME.

You can try 'Repair Game' from the Origins library (a right click on the icon). But short of that I think you need to download the game again.

You can check DLC if they are installed; launch the game, go to 'Options' 'Downloadable Content' and see what you have..

Oh... post under the Mass Effect General forum... more people will see your post...
