Try another computer and another disc reader. To rule out errors on the disc. Sometimes there are duds among discs and other tims you run into a whole batch of discs that just wont work with xyz player.
You could also try deleting the the drive as a hardware device and reinstall the drivers that way.

Is there any help anyone can render to me? I keep hitting the problem even though I can play kasumi DLC some time ago.

Not only is pirating a game illegal, but the flagrancy of bragging about it on a forum that Bioware pays to have available is nothing less than a proclamation of intentional ignorance.kingofkamikaze wrote...

Neither Bioware nor EA monitors these forums and have not done so after patching is finished with (in fact, typically after patch 1.01).This forum is for fans and owners of Mass Effect 2 on the PC to assist each other with technical questions. Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts, but fans are encouraged to try to assist each other here.
Official Help is at the link already made, a couple of comments upward."

You don't have to hack it in order to play it. You can also register your product key to the Origin application and then play it without a disc check.p5kplamse wrote...
this is really a piece of crap from bioware. i spent good money on this game and now i gotta hack it in order to play? Bioware is just cheating players of their money.
