Hello ye folks :)

One question, or problem, should I ask for a answer...

Ye know the red arrows, the blue ones and the circle styled red ones? I think you know which ones I mean.

These can be used to pan, move or whatever in the map window. I know, that there are more ways to move the map, like hold Ctrl and move with the mouse.

So my problem is, that one of my builders is using only those buttons. And now, because she bought a new PC with a newer graphic card, these buttons seem to max out. As a example, when she uses 'camera to bottom', the map shows the bottom at once. She could not slowly move the camera angle...

I thought of slowing down the graphic card only for NWN, is it possible to do this within an ini-file, or must it be done with the drivers of the graphic card itself?

Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks in advance,
Dunahan

I've had the same problem with newer Windows machines. I've not spent a lot of time trying to figure it out as I've still been able to do what I need, but I agree it can be a bit frustrating trying to do some things. I usually just end up pressing down on the scroll button and moving the mouse to rotate the area. But if you want a slower way to pan across and area, use the 4, 6, 8, or 2 keys on your keyboard's number pad if you have it. You can also use keys 1, 3, 7, and 9 on the number pad to rotate an area as well. 5 reorients the camera.

But maybe someone else might come along with better suggestions with how to actually fix this though.

Learning to use CTRL and mouse is the way to go, I've found, on recent kit.

Thank you at first :)

I personally have no Num-Pad 'cause I use a small Nettop with Win10, a mouse along Ctrl and the right button. I suggest that with the Num-Pad to my builder and ask her, if she could toggle her graphic card. Else she must learn to control the movement with her mouse.

Download the DirectX 9.0c SDK from the Vault - I posted it. It resolved this issue on my new machine - which is a beast.

Thank you Pstemarie, I'll tell her that. Her husband knows something about PC's so I hope he knows what he's doing with it. :)
