Adrenaline Module or Power AMP?
My vote goes to Power amp. That buffs to Cluster grenade & Reave/Biotic Charge.
I used to put AM, it made me slight survivable, but I am a scrub and have to stand still to shoot enemies and that was enough for Marauders, Phantom, Captains or Seeker plague even ravager goo to take me down.
With Power AMP4, my Drells are much much better.
Dont care about the Drell assassin.

I always found Cyclonic IV to be the most useful on Drells. Every little shield/barrier helps a lot when you have very little to begin with. Besides Drell already have enough speed and power damage and with Cyclonic IV they have decent shields for a well balanced build.

The Drell kits don't feel right without an Adrenaline Module to me. Gotta have all the speed.

Its just personal preference. On Drell Vanguard I always use Cyclonic IV, on Drell Adept I use Cyclonic IV or Power Amplifier IV and on Drell Assassin I use Power Amplifier IV or Cyclonic IV.

Yeah the Vanguard really need a cyclonic IV, especially for platinum.
For the adept I only use Power amp IV (he can survive pretty well from the Reave DR).
The infiltrator I don't really play that much, but I usually use adrenalin on him.

Power Amp for the Drell Adept.
Probably Power Amp for the Vanguard, except I don't use Vanguards so whatever I say is invalid.
Whatever for the Drell Infiltrator. He's already too good and doesn't need anything. No joke, I sometimes use a Power Efficiency Module just because he's already awesome enough. I guess shield power cells could be pretty good on him, because cloaking interrupts shield recharge, and you want to get those shields recharged in the gaps between cloaking.

...in gold, if you can't hit the shield gate threshold of 990 (what it takes to weather a Prime pulse or Banshee ball) then that Cyclonic is pretty much wasted.
As for the OP, I like AM, but have settled on the II -- the III is just too fast for my playstyle.

Adren Mods 3's are the most valuable and rarest consumables, so use something else if your're running low on them.

Power amps, however, can be a pretty good substitute, and I actually use them on the adept, since it leads to a more relaxed playstyle which I enjoy more as a change from the frantic on of his DrellGod brother. Who always gets AMIII for Full Drell Speed Ahead™.

Adept gets Adredaline as BE don't benefit much from Power Amps (correct me if I'm wrong)
Drellgod gets Power Amp because not only does BC limit the utility of AM but also because he isn't a master exploder as all explosions with him depend on teammates and ammo.
Drassassin gets Power Amp as well due to the extreme damage RM + HG does with cloak. Armor becomes nothing.
