And Morrigan certainly inherited Flemeth's snark, but there's no out-trolling the master, haha! Capt. Janeway takes no mess!
'Twould be a shame if we never got trolled by her again. If the story goes where I think it goes and we'll end up with FleMorrigan in a similar role... I'd be cool with that.
"You're required to do nothing, frail little mortal person whom I know to be of specified importance, least of all adhere to my insufferably vague foreshadowing of the... events... that shall ensue... in the near future. I assume. *mimics hearty laugh awkwardly* Am I doing this right?"
It wasn't mentioned that Dorian was pro-slavery, but Solas did pointed out his reluctance to let go of that:
Dorian: Solas, for what it's worth, I'm sorry.Dorian: The elven city of Arlathan sounds like a magical place, and for my ancestors to have destroyed it...Solas: Dorian... hush.Solas: Empires rise and fall. Arlathan was no more "innocent" than your own Tevinter in its time.Solas: Your nostalgia for the ancient elves, however romanticized, is pointless.Solas: If you wish to make amends for past transgressions, free the slaves of all races who live in Tevinter today.Dorian: I... don't know that I can do that.Solas: Then how sorry are you?
I seem to have glossed over that banter, thanks. At least it was indeed acknowledged by a few.
When my friendly Quizzy brought up the subject he dropped this gem:
"Back home, it's… how it is? Slaves are everywhere. You don't question it. I'm not even certain many slaves do. Some slaves are treated poorly, it's true. But do you honestly think inescapable poverty is better?"
And when I told him that "At least they have a choice" he disapproved. Like, wut. You'll need a lot more snark for me to compensate for that one, bud.
