A few YouTube chances I am subscribed to, dedicated to either BioWare/EA or Mass Effect, has detailed that in the January issue of OXM, there is an 8 page spread about Mass Effect Andromeda.  One of the videos goes on to say, it's already known information, some of it confirming some aspects of the reddit leak.  I don't have my hands on the issue, as I am not a subscriber, but I will probably purchase the issue sometime next month.  Anyone heard anything?

Ahh...

What about this bit from the magazine?

"... The idea, says Bioware Montreal's Yanick Roy is to, “Take space as a thing, and turn it into a place”...."

Could this be a possible Elitenian exploration of space, though in a much smaller scale?

Or this?

From producer Mike Gamble, “There’s a lot of opportunities to shoot guys squarely in the face". A slight combat

adjustment from the ME1-3 series?

"Galaxy changing sequel"

Haha. This stuff practically writes itself.

Old quotes, probably from E3 interviews. I remember reading them months ago.

Be careful. You'll put your back out, stretching that hard.

I know, right? Who would buy this for information that we've known for over a year, which is free on the internet?

Hopefully it's not just a compilation of clickbait articles with info like "Shepard might not return!" and "Could Mass Effect Andromeda take place in a new galaxy?" and actually provides new info, or at least some new concept art.

Interesting, well it'll be nice to maybe get some actual new details instead of just repeating stuff that we already knew about.

Hmmmm....

Summary:

Space is a place,

shooting guys in the face.

The Mako is forgiven,

inclusivity is a given,

let's hope it's a game we can embrace...

Wow seriously? They had nothing else to put on the cover and instead resort to making a big deal out of old news that reveals nothing? What a worthless mag, usually you would expect if they are going to devote the cover to a particular game they have struck a deal with the devs for an exclusive reveal.

I don't expect to see anything in depth from any place other than Game Informer.

REMEMBER back when they had an article on DAI? Remember how it was full of horribly incorrect information and even misspelled character names (like "Solace")? Take any possibly new information from them in the future with a grain of salt.

Is the reddit leak confirmed in its entirety?

If so why are they using leaks to get info out with now less than a year to release?

And wtf dude why are they doing 8 page spreads of old news from last year?

I'm trying to ride the hype train here but its going nowhere.

The studio didn't leak anything. People who took a marketing survey that had a non-disclosure agreement attached to it broke that agreement to put information about the game online.

People look at it as some kind of sneaky conspiracy to put information out, but no - it's literally just a screwup involving some part of EA Marketing commissioning market research and either not foreseeing or not caring about the obvious results, that whoever took the survey would immediately put it all online. It's happened to dozens of AAA games in the past few years, including Dragon Age Inquisition.

No, several parts have been confirmed, which makes the rest likely correct as well. Of course, anything could change during development, but the leak itself appears to be legitimate and the validity of many of the claims have been supported by several reputable industry insiders...for what its worth. I'd still take that with a grain of salt.
