Hi, just made an account to show my frustration to the Bioware team and their inability to keep their staff "under controlled."

 

I have 540+ games on Steam and I recently bought the "Star Wars Collection" during the Winter sale. The only Mass Effect game I played so far is the one on Android. I know the Mass Effect series is a long game, so I want to make sure I finish playing my other long games like Saints Row 3 (gotta get all the achievements) and SR4 before I start playing Mass Effect 1.

 

Recently, I read a news article about the departure of Bioware's director. Here's the article: http://techraptor.ne...-leaves-bioware

 

I scrolled through to the comments section and people were discussing how they want a staff member named "Manveer Heir" to be removed from Bioware.

 

I did some searching and found out Manveer is a man who hates White men and that he is anti-Conservative. He is openly racist on Twitter (https://twitter.com/manveerheir) and his racist tweets shows a picture of him drinking from a cup that says "White Tears" which is synonymous to "Semen" according to Urban Dictionary.

 

Who is Manveer? He is one of the gameplay designers for the upcoming video game, Mass Effect: Andromeda. I find it very disgusting that such a vile man is part of Bioware.

 

When I asked him why he supported Justin Trudeau, the currently Liberal leader of Canada, who gave away $3B to 3rd world countries in one month and raised the $120B national deficit to $240B in one month, he blocked me on Twitter. Those who supported Manveer told me off by saying I was a "troll."

I don't get this guy and why Bioware isn't doing any damage control at the moment. Is Bioware becoming Politically Correct? I've read many reviews of Bioware's games and I think they're a great dev studio, but I think Manveer is doing more harm than good to Bioware's reputation. He is giving this studio a BAD NAME.

 

I also hope Manveer or any of his colleagues desn't ban me from this forum. I understand this is a private forum and you could do anything you want with it, but I believe there are some things Bioware needs to answer to. Personally, I think Manveer needs to apologize for his racist remarks against White people (by the way, I'm Japanese) and to Canada as a whole for voting for a screw up like Justin Trudeau (if he did vote for him, that is). Not only that, he shouldn't just block people like that on Twitter, just because I don't agree with his views (I was being courteous, by the way).

 

I don't know man. When you work for a company full of White men and you actively hate White people on Twitter, something has got to be done, you know?

First and foremost, as a Canadian citizen, no one ever has to apologize for voting who they want to vote for. Frankly, you need to apologize for saying the bolded parts yourself.

 

Personally, I think Manveer needs to apologize for his racist remarks against White people (by the way, I'm Japanese) and to Canada as a whole for voting for a screw up like Justin Trudeau (if he did vote for him, that is). Also, I like the leap of logic that Manveer being one of the gameplay designers means that ME:A will be a racist game.  It's entertaining.

 

I agree that there should be at least some damage control regarding what Manveer says, but then, there is also the potential for a backlash if Manveer is penalized for what he said on Twitter, justifiable or not.  tbh, I completely forgot about Manveer until now, so maybe BW not acknowledging it is how they decided to handle it.

Justin Trudeau's father, Pierre Elliott Trudeau turned this great country of mine into a rotten piece of crap 50 years ago. Go Google it yourself. Both Trudeaus are no leader, he cares about foreign countries and foreigners than his own people. For years, Canadians have been suffering under a Liberal government in Ontario (my province) by Kathleen Wynne. Next month, our Hydro bill will be raised by another $120 to pay off their $240M debt that they created.

 

Did I mention Trudeau wants to actively dismantle our military and turn it into a military-less country because "America will protect us?"

 

Anyone who voted for Liberals and does not regret doing so must apologize or consider themselves deported from Canada. Liberals are traitors to Canada. I know this forum is not made for political discussions, but Manveer is an idiot. Clearly, the hipsters and millennials of today only care about getting high off marijuana. Meanwhile, they don't care about National security or helping the Middle Class survive and prosper.

 

Remember, Trudeau was born rich and he is still rich. He has no qualifications in politics or economics.

 

I am only 20 years old and I am more Canadian than he is. I am not some idiot feminist who uses charisma to lie to people and screw his people over.

In a company of hundreds of employees there are bound to be a few who have political opinions you don't agree with, regardless of which side of the political spectrum you fall on. 

 

If you narrowed your entertainment purchases to products only produced by people who are ideologically aligned with you, you'd likely end up not purchasing anything. That goes for people on both ends of the political spectrum.

 

Also my general reaction to this is, "who cares?" The only trait I care about game developers is their ability to turn out a quality product I'd want to purchase. I don't care whether they hate white men, or feminists, support Gamergate or Feminist Frequency, regularly shitpost on Twitter, or are voting for [political candidate I agree with]. Unless they leave game development to run for political office, none of those things matter.
