What was your first pen and paper RPG?

Nope, it's not strictly related to ME:A. It is however, in my opinion, possibly related.

(TMNT, fyi, for myself)

[obligatory 'This should be in Off-Top-ohwait' comment]

I'm not entirely sure. I tried it out with some friends maybe 2 or 3 years ago, but it never took off. This year, though, I started playing D&D 5th Edition with mostly the same friends, one of whom is DM'ing for the first time (but doing a pretty great job), and it's so much fun :) I started typing out an episode that made me laugh at the time, but realised it won't be as funny to others.

I'm curious to see how this could be 'possibly related' to ME:A. What have you got up your sleeve?

Unless you are german you probably won´t know it, it´s called DSA here. Started 24 years ago or so. IIRC there was an english version called Aventuria or so.

Ars magica. i've just played it for a year with a group of friends. Soon we will play Cyberpunk, and alternate the two worlds.

Shadowrun.

You know how bad it is in video games when characters pull out equipment from their forgotten spots? I solved part of it by dragging a golf trolley along for all the guns.

Dead Lands and the poker cards based battle system is still one of my favorites.

I only started doing P&P RPGs a few months back and created my own SciFi-Universe. Of course it was inspired by a few things from the ME-Universe, but had a lot of unique things to it too. I personally don't really like to play in an existing universe because you need books for it (which are quite expensive) and also need to know a bit about the lore.

Therefore I still prefer "selfmade" RPG-Systems ^^ Even though we don't use a very strict rule system that covers everything, it's still a blast :)

OD&D white box a year later we found basic D&d though it had been out a year or two and the players handbook for advanced d&d. Longest campaign was with the BECMI box sets and we used dungeons from it and advanced no matter which D&D system we used along with home made stuff.

Next gamma world, star frontiers, d6 Star Wars, marvel, dc. Found hero system then called champions in high school used that for everything but shadow run which we used its own rules for.

Small campaigns in a variety of other systems like pathfinder, world of darkness stuff, ars magika, rule master etc.

Currently d&d 5e, Shadowrun 5e(least favorite edition catalyst writes rules like Bioware writes me3 endings) and deadlands(with the cards), use savage worlds a lot for one shots though not deadlands as we use its original system for that.

This thread is being closed because it is not discussing ME Andromeda.
