Because people were spending more time talking about non-EA brands than was acceptable to some exec somewhere.
This way all the talk is on message and on brand.

Of course the board suffers immeasurably but who cares what customers actually want eh.

I seriously am getting vibe that entire BW forum is 'Off-Topic', like seriously just count how many threads are about actual BW games Vs -insert some other game that has nothing to do with BW or any of their games-. This forum is 'popcorn' worthy gold lol

Well 2015 was a year without any Bioware game releases. Yes we got Dragon Age DLC,but that was it. And with so many new games coming out and people want to talk about games, go figure. This forum is worse off for having killed off-topic. Pretty sure it will change though, as soon as we have new Andromeda information and something on the new IP.
