They made a dragon age pen and paper game. Wouldn't it be cool if they made a pen and paper mass effect game to coincide with andromedas launch?

Any game systems you'd want it modeled on?

My love will always be percentile, even if I enjoyed rolling 42 on 2d6 in the old Starwars RPG and actually pulling off 5 DS points in one mission. (I got from the top level of a 300 story prison to the bottom level entrance and the gd stormproof windows finished me.)

^^ my first % system was marvels despite some flaws with armor effects I loved the system for its ease. And the warhammer games the % systems are pretty smooth. I'm not a huge fan of the more narrative control systems, I'm more rule based so like the Dresden files RPG with its 4d6 system is not for me.

Played the DA RPG for some time, I liked it but some of my players found it not to their taste, as it is rather rules light. Have to admit with the progression of age my tastes shift to a lighter ruleset

I have worked on and off on a customized system that could be used for Mass Effect, using the framework of a tabletop game called Myriad Song. 

 

It helps that I co-wrote a splat book for Myriad Song, but the rules is a custom set known as the Cardinal system by Sanguine games.  Basically, a mix of Vampire: The Masquerade and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (2nd edition).

Hmm... one thing is for sure, whatever system are going to be used, will need some changes to account for ME technology and lore.

 

Most notably shields, biotics, tech/omni-tool (in the setting of an rpg this will be overpowered as frack, biotics for example get tired so you could use a stamina pool system, omni-tools on the other hand will need a new system, maybe power based or omni-gel based), and Reaper tech.

It would be fun to see an RPG iteration of the franchise.

 

I'd say Shadow Run's system would lend itself nicely, because some classes of ME are almost already present there.
