I couldn't finish the game no matter what. I just got so bored by the combat even in the early game. (You get even less party control/tactics than you did in DA2
which is inferior to DAO already) But then I started watching the whole story on Youtube and I really enjoyed it
Anyone feel the same way?
Game Story Movie on Youtube More Enjoyable Than Playing the Game Itself?

I enjoy watching someone play the game to see their reactions to what happens in it and sometimes for their commentary but that tends to be it. I prefer to play it myself and that's where my enjoyment of it lies.

Nope, though I have started editing together game movies in my spare time, just not anything as long as a Bioware RPG.

Not remotely. On my third playthrough and still finding new moments and variations to love.

But I'll expand. I also don't like watching other people's characters in general; making choices I wouldn't make, doing things I wouldn't do, picking a romance choice I have no interest in, and so on. The only time I ever watch play videos is if there are choices I will NEVER see in my own game, and I also have a specific reason for wanting to see it, like writing a forum response. There are many alternate paths I have no desire to see, ever.

I watch them for games where I'm semi interested in the story but can't be bothered to spend 70-80$ (Canadian) and slog through gameplay I don't like, or can't play because it's on consoles. As such, I watched Assassin's Creed, Halo and Uncharted on youtube.
I'd never do that with an RPG, however. Not only are they long games, but the best part is not the story but how you influence it.

The choices don't really matter in the end. You know that, right?
It kinda all ends up sorta the same. It's a problem with many games nowadays, not just Bioware's. (Telltale games come to mind)

However, I will say that after multiple playthroughs, there are times when I get bored playing. It's not that the game is boring but that I just sometimes get tired of playing it. Which just means it's time for me to take a break and do something else for a bit. I always come back to it though - just like I've gone back to DAO and even DA2. I've happily lived in the DAverse for 6 years now and have no plans of leaving anytime soon.
