I recently bought BioWare points over at GameStop.com and when I entered my product code, Origin claimed the code was not valid. GameStop said it's Origin's fault, but I can't contact EA/Origin even if my life was a stake! (They have ZERO customer support now, and I'm not exaggerating.)

 

Even if I tried to buy my BioWare points on Origin directly, I get the feeling they won't let me have them. It seems there have been lots of people in the past buying them in order to get Dragon Age DLC, and didn't actually get to use them.

 

Is it even safe to bother with these points? I know I can't even hope to buy any DLC without it, but, at this point, EA is just going to take my money and run....

 

 

EDIT: I was able to get in contact with EA and they redeemed my points for me. Wouldn't work on my end. Still don't know if buying points from them directly works, though.

They've been phased out for a while. Best not to bother with anything but ultimate editions of older games.

The dlc on Origin hasn't been updated in months, why lose out on sales?, since bioware points are useless now.

I have no idea. Hell I would have rebought a bunch of Bioware games for PC if they just put the damn DLC on Origin. I suppose I could pirate the DLC but I would prefer not to.

I bought some Bioware points from origin for ME2 and it worked fine.

I just bought 1,600 BW Points, paid in the same day I made my purchase and so far, it's been almost 4 days and payment is sill not confirmed.

 

I can't find an email to contact either Bioware or EA. And I've got the document from the bank confirming the transaction.

 

I can't believe they treat customers like that.
