Liam Neeson as an Admiral, or another authority figure, would be precisely the kind of thing I was thinking of. 

 

Alternatively, how about him for the first politician in the entire series that they give a positive portrayal?

I would actually like to hear Rose Leslie voice a character. I'm watching Game of Thrones through again, and once more fallen in love with Ygritte because of her. I'd like her to voice a character that would be a bit like Jack from Mass Effect, but not as damaged. A character who is rough around the edges, but has a heart of gold. Like Nyreen Kandros, actually.

I think both did a really good job in SWTOR and it wouldn't be the first time BioWare cast an actor as the protagonist in two separate franchises.

I would pick Brian Bloom / Kari Wahlgren as the protagonist.

I'd love for Diane Lane to voice the female protagonist. I've always had a huge crush on her and she's got a great voice that conveys tons of emotion.

 

I don't know who I'd want for the male. As for any other characters...well. Not sure there either. I couldn't possibly be of less help.

I'd like Simon Templeman to have a major role. I love his work as Loghain so to have him in Mass Effect in a larger role than Han'Gerrel or Gavin Archer would be amazing.

Another vote for Gideon Emery, and I also enjoyed Indira Varma as Vivienne in DAI.

As for non bioware games, thinking back to what I've played recently...Admiral Havelock stands out in Dishonored. Something about his deep, comforting voice that never went over the top or too dramatic. He was played by John Slattery from Mad Men so he could be an interesting choice.

Also Brandon Keener, aka Garrus, but that's purely 100% fangirl Garrus love. It would probably be weird for him to be in Mass Effect and not be Garrus...a girl can wish though.

Obviously, the male protagonist should be played by David Prowse.

 

A few more serious possibilities: Dominic West of The Wire is pretty darn talented has a strong voice IMO. Tatiana Maslany is outstanding playing five different characters on Orphan Black, so it's pretty clear she has enormous versatility.

I could see him being the first 'great' councilor for humanity, having a great relationship with the other races and being well-liked, while simultaneously representing Earth's interests. I feel like if they were to use him in that role, unfortunately, he'd have to die at some point. BioWare loves to tug on the heartstrings...

I know it's fiction but it is supposed to be believable. Ba da dump.

Seriously like how every corporation was negative politicians probably were for the story conflict potential. You get a lot less bang out of positive unless it's so you can kill them off as a motivator for the protagonist.

Basically not every corporation is experimenting on the thorian and not every politician is udina but what is the story hook for dealing with them when they aren't.

Conflict drives things. A low level politician who can't influence anything can maybe play the role of Anderson, but I don't think it's wise. Non political roles are less prone to creating conflict in the player base when positive.

I just want professional voice actors rather than some star name, who have all too often in the past put in lazy performances. Actors like James Clyde who played the 'Bloody Baron' in The Witcher 3, or Jo Wyatt, Troy Baker, and Courtenay Taylor are all exceptionally talented and versatile voice actors, most of whom have worked with Bioware before.
