Does anyone think the young boy is supposedly the main protagonist in Mass Effect: Andromeda?

Anything is possible.

I hope not.
I would like that end scene to be officially rendered non-canon, particularly since it originally was meant to imply a galactic dark age that lasted eons. I'm not sure why it was kept around for the Extended Cut, since the High EMS endings contradict it.
Buzz Aldrin is awesome...Bioware's terrible use of him, wasn't.

If they are so damned determined to completely evade the issues of the ME3 ending they need a complete clean cut

Maybe they can get him to come back and voice another character. Since exploration seems to be a huge part of MEA, he would be one of the best people to portray a character since he lived what we'll be playing(well, he went to a different world whereas we are going to a different galaxy, but same essence). Maybe play one of the leaders of the endeavor.

I'd love if they brought him back for another tribute to space exploration.

Something similar to the video that they released for N7 day maybe?

Or not. He's a terrible actor.

Buzz Aldrin is awesome...
Only when people aren't asking him if the moon landing was a hoax lol.

You have Shepard fare welling the Ark in the last teaser.
Really the only thing this theory has going for it is the repeated use of 3 moons in the backdrop of concept art. Similar to the scene with stargazer it does make you question a few things mostly why so many planets have three massive moons though.

He did absolutely fine I was remarking to myself yesterday how much I enjoyed his narrative beyond "The Shepard" I hope they get him back as well.

But there is a good chance that is just for the trailer. With no connection to the game itself.
At least I hope so.

Anyway I hope it is a recruitment type thing we start taking orders from maybe the guy in the trailer. Something happens similar to Eden prime.

I'm going to bite.
Why would they bother doing that if it served no purpose at all? (I know...)
The rest of this post is just my opinion.
They go out of their way to indicate
A. Shepard knows they're leaving.
B. Shepard is still alive when they leave (which would also invalidate stargazers claims if he was in fact in another galaxy far far away)
Fairly big things to say for no reason aren't they?
Which means if it is to be taken seriously.
C. If Shepard is alive the Reaper war hasn't happened yet and there is no way to know the story to tell the kid in the first place.
The theory has more holes in it than the catalysts logic. Not that it matters much I guess.

The purpose was to make a goodbye video for Shepard.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that the N7-Day video has no connection to the story of ME:A. It's just Shepard saying goodbye to us, the players and fans.
At least, that's how I interpret this tweet.

No.
I think the main protagonist in ME:A (culpa) will be Ubara-Tutu from Shuruppak, who, before ascending to the rank of god, made a pact with the aliens to be brought back to human life by the means of an ancient rite, that can be performed when the Moon is in the Tenth house of Capricorn. Unfortunately, everything didn't go as it was planned, so you have now
In the heart of Sumeria
In the hall of fame of kings, yeah
There's not a king sumerianer as Ubara
And he embraces a space shotguns and says "Come get some" in his sumerian speech.

Oh good grief we're not even at the beginning of the game yet and they're doing it already.
It actually raises more questions than it answers. First one that pops to mind is wtf was the point?

It lands on a seemingly deserted space station.
The camera pans along its length, slowing to a door.
It slowly opens revealing a half hidden figure - male, cloaked and hooded - back lit by a dim blue glow.
He steps forward, pulls off his hood.
Dramatic music as the camera swoops out, showing a suddenly teeming cerberus base as Kai Leng walks off.
I know it, you know it, just accept it.

I imagine a scene with the Ark, or multiple Ark ships, preparing for their journey to Andromeda (how, idk), when Reapers suddenly arrive out of FTL, ambushing the ships. The Milky Way species (Milky Wayans?) try to slow them down, but the Reapers are decimating the protector fleets, destroying a few Ark ships. The remaining ships are forced to immediately "jump" to Andromeda.
Maybe our character can be reluctant to leave, seeing a huge space battle going as we hurry to our station or whatever.

I half expect for the opening scene to show the text crawl that each Mass Effect game has then show the ship leaving the Milky Way and/or arriving in Andromeda, maybe with some dialogue to help set up, and then it goes to the CC, which is the protagonist in a stasis pod and when you finish the CC the pod opens and your characters exits, starting the playable part of the game. The tutorial could be your character getting their bearings in a training simulation.
