Sorry for asking this in Mass Effect Andromeda thread but ME2 and ME3 are closed for posting... I just hope someone sees this...
I encountered a problem... I played through Mass Effect 2, 7 times last summer in order to achieve a perfect plot... Well, I did it but there is just one small problem... I didn't romance anyone... I imported my profile in ME3 and I saw that it shows that I haven't romanced anyone... Now I downloaded Gibbed's save editor for Mass Effect 2 and searched anywhere but could not find anything about changing romances in the GUI... And what I did was, I imported the save file into ME3 and as soon as the game made the first save, I closed the game and opened the save game with Gibbed's save editor for ME3 and just went to the ME2 romance tab... And guess what... It doesn't display any options, except something about Liara's visit on the Normandy... Where are the others??? I want my FemShep with Thane but I can't find him... I was pissed for a while but then I saw what someone wrote on social.bioware.com:
Start by going to the Raw tab, then Plot, ME2 Plot Table, BoolVariables. Click the (...) that shows up.
Here are the relevant ME2 entries:
5209 = MirandaRomanced (set to true to romance, otherwise set to false)
5208 = JackRomanced (set to true to romance, otherwise set to false)
3926 = TaliRomanced (set to true to romance, otherwise set to false)
3892 = JacobRomanced ((set to true to romance, otherwise set to false)
5206 = ThaneRomanced (set to true to romance, otherwise set to false)
5207 = GarrusRomanced ((set to true to romance, otherwise set to false)
So as an example, if you WERE in an ME2 romance with Tali and wanted to change it to Jack, you would change 3926 to FALSE and change 5208 to TRUE.
So I went to the boolvariables in ME2 save editor and since I hadn't romanced anyone I just set Thane (5206) to true and saved the savegame... I Imported the profile in a new game and guess what... It still shows that I haven't romanced anyone... I guess there is an entry in the bool variables that I have to set to false but I have no idea which... I tried to contact the man that posted this (jdi_knght) but no reply what-so-ever...
Can someome please help me because I don't feel like playing through ME2 again just for this because I might forget to do something and will not get a perfect plot and then I will have to play through it again...
Please don't delete this thread because I seriously need help... When my problem is solved I will delete this thread personally and will write a thread somewhere else about how to change romance options using bool variables...

If you are starting a fresh ME3 game it is much easier to take your ME2 save and change the values in ME2 gibbed editor and then import that file into ME3. In Gibbed ME2 romances are much easier to toggle on and off since it is a simple check box to click and un-click appropriately

I don't really remember but don't you have to change how far the romance has progressed (ie. 6), or was that just for ME1 romances? Nevermind, I think that was just ME1.

I don't remember the details as I haven't do this in years, but if I remember correctly, its definitely easier to deal with the ME2 file. I'd do that if I were you. There was a good tutorial on all this floating around somewhere....

Nevermind again, I was right.
Raw tab, then Plot, ME2 Plot Table, IntVariables, Find 271 in the number list, On the right hand side there should be a number beside 271, Change it to 5
266 = Miranda (5 for romancing)
213 = Jack (5 for romancing)
272 = Tali (5 for romancing)
267 = Jacob (5 for romancing)
271 = Thane (5 for romancing)
270 = Garrus (5 for romancing)

But if you learn the secrets of the save editor you can actually see what happens with Conrad in ME2 if you were nice to him in ME1. The save editor knows all.
