my question is ... then what is the point of the future we all see after Alexius' sends the Inqky ahead in time? The veil was broken and the fade merged with the mortal world and it was sickly green and full of demons. Or this fade Solas talks about is different from the one we see in the future?

The Veil wasn't broken. The fact we see the breach in the sky is proof of it. A lot more of it leaked out, but not in the way Solas would have wanted. Spirits were still driven insane, and everything was corrupted by Red Lyrium. If you bring Solas along - and even he's infected with Red Lyrium, like your other companions - he says that this future must be stopped at all costs.

Vivienne: So, apostate. If the Circle is such a failure, what would be your solution? Would you have your fellow mages live among the people unguarded, unwatched?
Solas: Yes.
Vivienne: And when they became posessed or use their power to harm?
Solas: I would kill them. Magic is more elegant than a blade or a bow, but a murderer remains a murderer.
Vivienne: So, you alone would pass judgement? Repay murder with murder? Or do we open this up to mobs and vigilantes? If you’re going to dispense justice on violent mages yourself, you'll need eternal life and omniscience.

So, does that mean she does agree with Solas? Or would she object to the omniscience part? ;)

She agree but only if she is in charge.

 Hard to say. I left out the rest of the banter because I didn't think it was all that relevant, buuuut... I think she likes Templars more than the idea of an omniscient, eternal Solas dispensing justice.

If you're going to dispense judgment upon violent mages yourself, you'll need eternal life and omniscience. If only there were individuals dedicated to finding and eliminating such criminals. Perhaps they might help?
Solas: I am certain they would. Until black and white distinctions perverted their simple minds.

If Solas does lift the veil, that make it impossible to be a Tranquil anymore, right?

I'm not asking because I support the plan, I was only musing on the mechanics of the situation when this thought occurred to me.

No.  Dreamers existed before the veil so there's no reason to think their opposites couldn't.  However there would be a lot more spontaneous reversals of Tranquility from spirit contacts.

Oh. Well, her point is dumb. By her own standard, the templars aren't useful: they're not omniscient.

Yeah, methinks she didn't quite think that one through.

Where do you find that Dreamers existed before veil? Solas say world where fade is natural part of the world magic is natural as breathing. So I think everyone have magic, how can you live without breathing.

Dwarves existed before the Veil.

There's no reason to think Tranquility won't be possible.

"Having magic" is not the same thing as "Being a Dreamer".  And since Elvish has a name for being a Dreamer, that means they existed.  (Actually what we now know as "mages" were probably all Dreamers back in the day but...)

But they aren't a single individual either.  They can be in more than one place at a time.

That's not the point. Her first part about "omniscience" reads like a shot at the fallibility of mortals in separating the innocent from the guilty. But the templars are equally fallible. She's not really complaining that it would be logistically tough for one person to do it - she's saying a person shouldn't do it. But that doesn't make her argument persuasive when it comes to getting a group of people to do it.

Well templars do make arrests and have trials of suspects. But more importantly if a single superhero is going to police all of Thedas he has to be able to sense possible wrong-doing at continent-wide range.

"as the world burns in the raw chaos"

His solution sounds largely the same. Given that red lyrium is already in the fade IDK if he knows what he's doing.

End of LIFE in Solas' planned world. :D

But his beloved ancient elves won't be made tranquil, if that's what you're asking.
