The small things that drive you crazy in ME1/2/3 that you really DON'T want in ME:A

Okay, so I'm not talking about the big hitters like Cerberus, or the ending, or killing a favourite character or whatnot.

Let's just chill out and talk about the daft stuff that drives you crazy while playing ME1, 2 or 3.

For me it's the decryption games, especially in ME2.  They're SO annoying.

I'm Commander Shepard, why the hell can't I just shoot a lock open or press an app to open a damn safe?  Urgh it's like rogues being the only ones who can open chests in DA, only with annoying, repetitive mini-games.  Never again.  Please.  I beg you.  :crying:

Also inventory management in ME1, but thankfully they axed that in 2 and 3 so I'm hopeful it won't be coming back.

I don't see it happening! However, i can imagine some kind of minigame involving the colonies. Management and that sort of thing ^_^ looking forward to it!

The way the conversations became less and less personal/cinematic. I hate how 80% in convos you just click and have a convo that doesn't change the camera or present any sort of dialogue option. DAI's system was awful as well. Bring back cinematic convos please!

The opposite for me; much prefer the removal of cut-scenes, though close-ups would be fine.

No ME2 Thermal clip hunts; the ME3 version was much better, IMO.

I liked those tho. I also liked scanning planets for minerals but it was hated by many. I just like mini games in games

This was a small thing that bugged me in the third game. Though they are in areas you can't normally get to at least make all the characters on screen have some more detail, these sprites are...ugh.

That might be cool, I just wouldn't want to happen as often as the hacking games.

You mean like the ppl in the restaurant in Citadel DLC? They looked like they were wearing Halloween masks. Creepy.

Hehe, I like your thinking! Of course I can't play poker so my character will be destitute in the space of ten minutes.

I loved the hacking and encryption mini games, they were always enjoyable to do whenever they showed up.

ME1:

- Ditto Superfluous Inventory.

- Extreme Range Invincibility. (When on outdoor missions you can snipe enemies from extreme range and they just stand there and do nothing.)

- Getting out of the Mako to gain more XP. What a silly concept to finish Thresher Maws and Armatures and gain 300% XP.

ME2:

- Ditto Ammo being an issue. I appreciated the nod to the old game in the description of the Lancer.

- All the times Biotic Charge was made useless, think the Collector Base Platforms that you can't get to until they latch on.

ME3:

- Biotic Charge pathing problems again, think the first time you encounter Cannibals across a gap at the beginning of the game.

- A tonne of issues in MP I won't bother listing, cause the list is really, really, big...

My personal:

1)Thermal clips (love the Lancer in ME3)

2) Eavesdropping/fetch quests (if you want me to do a quest then do bother creating a short story behind it and create a cinematic cutscene)

3) Auto-dialogue

I liked the Citadel DLC mini games, if they'd add a feature like that it would entertain me for at least 30 minutes. What drove me crazy was that I couldn't get some kissy kissy action with my LI like they offer in DA:O ... bothers me in every other part of the series. FO4 did it better even

Humans are Special: The single worst trope in all of Science Fiction, and one that was not only present in every game but seemed to get turned up a notch with each chapter. Stop it, Mac.

Exposed skin / lack of helmets for hostile enviroments. That one was mostly limited to ME2, but there were a couple characters in ME3 that didn't have helmets.

Fetch quests.

Fetch quests obtained by eavesdropping.

Lack of cinematic conversations with NPCs. (More of a problem with DA:I than ME games, but there were a few instances of it in ME2 and ME3)

Characters in the Citadel DLC too often seeming more like cartoonish caricatures of themselves than believable people in the game universe. I loved the Citadel DLC overall, but thought the humor could have been be toned down a few notches. An entire game of that would feel like Tumblr Fanfic Comic: The Game. No thanks!

Content that breaks the fourth wall. No more NPCs discussing multiplayer, please.

ME1... Mako missions, hacking

ME2... Just the incessant camera focus on Miranda's posterior. Otherwise it was my favorite of the three

ME3... Lack of little side missions found while scanning. I always felt like it it was like winning on a scratch ticket or something when it said I could land in ME2. To me it was the main reason I scanned planets... Also the useless broken journal.
