Hello, I recently unlocked this guy and played a few Silvers with it... It's quite a nice character! Flamer is very powerful, Bloodlust is great to keep you alive, not to mention Cluster Grenade.
His melees are also very effective. I barely use my weapon with this guy.

I haven't tried Gold yet, I'm wondering if Flamer/Mealee is still effective in that mode too.

So the guide I read about this kit gave me insights on weapons and powers.
In terms of gameplay, is there any specific/optimal style to use the VS?

I'll try to help you but since I'm a Quarian, no promises.

 

1. Equip Claymore.

2. Find lobby with willing meat shields

3. Do Vorcha things, idk what Vorcha's do exactly.

4. Prime a spawn with flamer.

5. Throw Cluster Grenade or 2 for Fireworks

6. GRRRRAAAAWWWWW

7. Clean up with Claymore

8. Burn the remains with flamer

9. Go ride your teammates

10. Dance or something

11. Bring me a Geth's head for a lamp store

12. Repeat from step 3

Use flamer and granades in combination for fire explosions. You will greatly improve your effectiveness if you're using a weapon that can be fired while running. If it also staggers, the better.

Spec flamer for range, I can't suggest some specific build but bare in mind that maxed power combos are the most powerful. So if you spec nades and flamer all the way, you'll get the most out your fire explosions. The advantage of granades as detonators is that they are delayed so you can either first prime with flamer or flame right after throwing a granade, the FFs are guaranteed.

In bloodlust, health regen is best, but you can also pick power over weapon damage. I always do with all Vorchas.

You should use melee often as it is fast and staggering, but I wouldn't recommend a melee oriented build, but I would recommend that you experiment, and try diferent builds. There are a lot of combinations with subtle to drastic changes just like with all characters so it should be a fun ride.

Well, with that equipment, I'm quite sure! But I'm almost done with uncommons and have some rares/few super rares.

I also already specced my VS a bit differently. I didn't put any point in passive, only in Fitness, and a few in melee too.

 

I'll give it a try to Gold and see how it goes.

This was what finally made flamer work for me...after always doing the opposite I realized that flamer melts armor just fine by itself and the shield damage evo is what makes it unstoppable.
