We've gotten so many new tidbits of information that I'm just trying to wrap my head around it all.

The elves were apparently... spirit-people. Things. Something?

Humans seem to have migrated from somewhere else and settled and built pyramids in Par Vollen thousands of years ago, before being driven out by the Qunari in the Steel Age - who by that time were following the Qun, so the whole "your race is a mistake"/dragon blood theory thingie was already established to keep them in line. I guess. And big grey horned people were originally sighted in the Korcari Wilds during the First Blight before disappearing for a thousand years or so and showing up in Par Vollen.

They say the Qunari were driven from their original homeland by "something". Humans also came from somewhere else. What were they running from? Was it the same thing? Another race? Famine and drought? Tax hikes?

Dwarves are literal Children of the Stone and the existence of these beautiful pure cinnamon roll snowflakes is all caught up in this elfy bidness we're learning.

Then there are the Fex and the "scaled ones" which... I'm at a loss. Just. Wut?

So much lore. So little time. I'm not even sure what I'm asking. Someone please use baby speak to explain what the crap?

According to the Qunari themselves, the Kossith cast them out of their original homeland. Why we don't know, perhaps they objected to the Qun, though given the Qunari had all the same tech levels then that they have now its likely the Kossith were just as advanced and are likely now even more advanced than the Qunari now.

I am somehow expecting the Kossith to show up in the next game prehaps connected to the people across the sea who seem to be spying on Thadas for unknown reasons so we might find out more in DA4.

After Trespasser, I have the feeling that the humans did not come to Thedas expelled from "something", if the Fade is something natural, as an element, it had to be on the whole world, meaning that certain egg-head's doing would be global as well, thus it would be noticed by any other sapient race on the world and they would send people to find out what the hell is going on.

About the species themselves:

I doubt Ancient Elves were spirits since these even out of the Fade have no problem on their lifespan, while Elves became mortals after the invention of the Veil.

Dwarves, I think it's already confirmed that they were made by the Titans, I have the theory that they could even be some kind of axolotl for Titans. (just my crazy theory).

I think that the Scaled Ones could be related to the Qunari, maybe some sapient cousin of Dragons that could breed with other species (or assuming that Dragons could perform magic, some kind of construct similar to how Titans created Dwarves) or perhaps Qunari are just product of an elven experiment (either a ritual or perhaps a dirty shapeshifter).

In regards to humans we have 2 sets: The Neromenians from the North and the Alamarri from the South. It was the Neromenians that settled into Thedas 1st it seems.

The Alamarri fled the South due to "A Shadow Lady" which we find out is actually a spirit that Solas communicated with.

The Stone created Titans which then created Dwarves. The Stone lives beneath orlais was a saying in DA:O so whatever the Stone is, it really does exist
