Hey guys, just wanting to get a general idea of what you guys do.
I'm working towards my 2nd run of Inquisition, and am currently about halfway through an Origins playthrough. But after probably a good 1000+ hours on Origins over the years, it's starting to become a chore ![]()
So i'm wondering how many of you plathrough the games in sequence, and how many create their Warden/Hawke playthroughs in the Keep and go straight into Inquisition?
Inquisition Imports: The Keep or Playthroughs?

I usually play through Origins and 2 before doing DAI but then i've not played through all the DAO Origins yet as I'm missing both City and Dalish Elves. I think it's probably a good thing the keep exists though so you can randomly or manually build up a history of your own without the need to play the first 2 games but so far I've not done it that way as I prefer to build my history as I go through the games

I still haven't imported all my world states into Inquisition - only done five out of eight so far. Seven of those reflect completed runs off DAO/DA2 and one is a world state I made up and put in the Keep. (Generally filled with choices I found stupid and/or pointlessly evil, like killing Leliana and Wynne at the Sacred Ashes or letting Meredith kill Bethany.)
After I get through the other three, I may go back and play DAO and DA2 again to make a ninth world state, depending on exactly how long we have to wait until DA4. I felt burned out on DAO the last time I played it in 2014, but I figure we have until 2018 until DA4 is likely to appear, so that will probably give me time to recover from that feeling and want to play it again.

I'm lazy, so I just create world states in the Keep and go straight to Inquisition. I don't even create different world states any more, I just cycle through the ones I already have or I don't even bother to change the one currently loaded in the Keep.

I want to do the whole story in one go most of the time. So for example every time a new Harry Potter book came out I'd go back and read all the others. Every time. First two books are seriously worn lol.
I played DAI the first time recently and had done the DAO and DA2 to match it not long before. If there's too long a gap I crave starting over just so I can live through the whole 3 games in a chunk. It's silly, and maybe one day I'll just fill in the keep, but I tend to have worlds themed by their morals. So getting my head in the right place and running through all 3 games is a nice thing for me. Made a little worse by DAI's lack of nostalgia for the old games I have to say, I expected more references to Ferelden etc. (I played pro-Templar so never even met Anora
).
It's the same with my Sheps, 1,2,3, but maybe in the future DAI will be the exception. It really is a little apart from the other 2 in time and story so I could foresee just making a world in the keep and going with it. As long as I've experienced the choices in the world I made at some point in my playthroughs, I'd be okay with it. The completionist inside of me will be itching to play that world from the start of course, but there are only so many times I can do DAO without screaming. You can hit saturation point, so the day may come. Or perhaps the dawn will come (heh heh heh I'm so funny
)

I use the keep and choose what applies to the playthrough of the past two games

Wow, that is something, something crazy. I don't think i'd have the patience to do that. You must be happy with book series that are already finished when you start reading them then?
As for the topic. I haven't really played DA:O or DA:II since Inquisition came out. I had 3 saves ready for the keep and that is what i have played so far. But the next time i am going to play Dragon Age its all three games in one and then importing my characters to the keep etc.

It took a couple of years per book to come out I think, so by then I was okay reading them again.
I will say tho, I discovered Bioware games a year ago. So I had 3 Dragon Ages and 3 Mass Effects ready to go. Pure pure happiness

I did my Origins runs a long time ago, and I played so many hours that playing through again just feels like a chore. I just created several worldstates to reflect my old playthroughs, and use the Keep to import my old playthroughs into Inquisition.

I definitely do not have the patience, time, or inclination to replay DAO and DA2 every single time I play DAI. And when DA4 comes out, I doubt I'll slog through all three games in consecutive order but we'll see.

I played both DA:Origins (all DLC) and DA:2 (all DLC) to completion. Used that data to import into Keeps and went from there. So far, I haven't had enough time to play more than up to a certain point into the Hinterlands (mostly because I kept recreating my character on multiple classes, unable to decide what I wanted to play as). So I'm not even sure what kind of impact it really has had for my playthrough, just yet.

I care not to keep any of my played games so,I delete them before starting a new game.
As far as playing different games.. How's this? On my PS3 I'm working on DA:2,On my XBOX 360 DA:O and DA:I . Each game was started fresh.

That sounds wonderful. Not that i haven't enjoyed the ride since Mass Effect released in 2007, but every so often i just wish i could stumble upon greatness and its all already out so i can devour it.

Lol, I mostly do this. I'm burnt out on DAO to be honest; I've beaten the game 5 times already. While I've beaten DA2 three times... I'm so throughly done with them I just don't want to redo the same thing over and over again.

That's what I did too, for the most part. I just finished a new run through both DAO and DA2, though that world state isn't imported yet. I've used a couple of fake Hawkes to leave in the Fade, and also have an "everyone dead" fake world state to use for my next game. I'm looking forward to hearing what Leliana says about the HoF "killing" her.

Maybe once i've explored EVERY option, i'll end up just making playthroughs in the Keep lol (my current Origins playthrough was the 1st time I ever freed Sten, but left him to his own devices. Was surprised when he just stayed in the cage.)
