I've seen posts around here cast doubt on the game's current 'Fall 2016' release window. I can't help but agree; I've quietly had this skepticism since last year's E3 teaser.

I expect ME:A to be delayed into Spring 2017, with a launch date in or around Q1 of that year.

Call it a hunch. I know I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Spring 2017?

I doubt we will see it until winter 2017

Realistic predictions, not pessimistic.

They can take their time, though.

I don't think it will be that far. Q2 2017 is the furthest possible release window. IMO.

Eh, we don't know their schedule though, so quarters really mean very little in any sort of prediction.

EA wants their money as quickly as possible, but ALSO want as much as possible, there is very little hype for this game currently, they will need at least a few months of ad campaign build up late this year just to get attention for it on the market.

Well, the window is Holidays 2016, not Fall 2016. That could be Dec 31st. But yeah, no one realistically expects it in 2016. BioWare hasn't met an initial release target in as long as I can remember. IIRC even Dragon Age 2 was delayed by like 4 or 6 months.

Don't blame you, last time they did that it was for gen 1 Xbox.

Game's gonna be terrible anyway so don't worry about it. With Super Mac at the helm the plot will probably revolve around humanity saving oppressed andromeda alien toasters via the use of a "secret organization" that literally everyone knows about called the Carebareus, then disgustingly having sex with the toasters. After that you either kill them or make everyone into a slave race of machine babies because Catalyst logic and coexistence or something.

Oh and the game will have like 150 hours of "content" but 5 hours of plot missions with the most laughably incompetent villains ever that are only threatening because of even more incompetent allies. It being inflicted upon us at a later date would be a blessing in disguise.

You're absolutely right. I can't seem to remember a single recent instance in which BioWare managed to meet their initial projected release window. No reason to think it's not happening again.

I can see the game releasing Holiday 2016 for the bolded reason.  It wouldn't be the first time a game would be released (potentially) before it was completely polished because of financial reasons.

The most pessimistic prediction: the game is a crapfest, and it's a sales success worldwide. Just like it happens to almost every productions nowadays.

It just wouldn't make sense from a marketing perspective though, there haven't been any ads for it so far, I mean don't get me wrong its early yet in the year but...

If we don't see any ads for the game by say...the end of summer, I think any release this year is doubtful.

I think that is fair, but I don't remember seeing ME3 TV ads until like a month before it released.  There was plenty of other advertising before that though.

Well those are generally the most expensive, magazines, internet ads, etc are far cheaper and generally get the audience the game is targeted for, TV ads are usually last because they are aimed at the non audience potential buyers.

They said they started working on the game immediately after ME3 was released. You would think that 4 years would be enough to create a good game. But who am I to know what goes on in the offices of BioWare and EA...

I hope you're wrong. I bet Cyberpunk 2077 will be relased in 2017 and MEA will seem lame compared to CP77. I don't want that. I want to enjoy both games. :x

Cyperpunk may not even make 2017, though I suppose you have a point. I'm sure I will enjoy both regardless.

Bioware has a ... uhm, let's say certain history with delaying stuff. To be honest, the release date is already Q1 2017 in my head.
EA wants the $£¥€, true, but they don't want the bad PR aswell - esp. with Bioware.

I think it will be the end of 2017. They will do it due to matching 7. Kinda stupid but easy to use in marketing.

I just hope they know what they're doing and hope for the best. I would recommend that they should've release the game in 2017 to take their time to make the game, instead of doing rush jobs just to put the game out there and make money out of it. If they still doing that it will plummet in a bad way and people don't want to buy their games anymore and they will go to someone else who makes games to get their money's worth. If I were them I would release the game later to take the time to get ideas from fans, learn from their franchises of what to do and not to do. and have balance of storyline, gameplay, and graphics. And the objective that BioWare should live by as most developers do: Make games for your fans NOT for yourself.

So what? There will be other games on the market to pass the time. Just recently I've heard that Watch Dogs 2 might be released at the end of this year for example. It is better anyways to take time and release a well done product instead of an unfinished one.
