Why well this one is strong enough to defeat one if he uses the power of a god the next has to fight Solas and well he is a freaking god the strongest of all that are not the maker.

He is scary strong so any chance to beat him is to be a god also. So what do you think will the next protagonist be a god?

A god? Nah, you might be looking for a writer's pet on your team, their thicker plot armors can surpass the power of a God.

We need strong magic to counter Solas, yes. But he's no true god.

Why not he is immortal he can make people a statue in the blink of a eye. He can create things like the Veil. He is worshiped as a god so why is he not considered a god?

The Warden was just a very capable mortal so was Hawke. The Inqisitor powers of a god but not a god. And even he could not defeat Solas.

You need to be a god to kill a god.

It would be awesome if we got to play as the inquisitor again. It's probably never going to happen, but I feel like that character deserves more. Also, I doubt a new protagonist could ever have a chance of convincing Solas to step down peacefully, and I like that guy.

I think it's far more likely we'll find some way to exploit a weakness in Solas' godlike power, rather than matching him at full strength.

Remember Corypheus? "We have to destroy his dragon, which will neutralize his body-hopping abilities just long enough that when we kill him in single-combat, it'll be for good!"

It may take a god to beat a god, but that doesn't mean we get to play one.

Maybe we play a character that convinces/tricks one god into defeating the other. Or maybe we fight fire with fire -- by starting a new Blight. It's not like that's new territory, at least as far as DA books go.

Most likely and sadly, though, we're just gonna be a character that jumps through a bunch of hoops for the privilege of throwing the old deus ex machina switch. Maybe Morrigan will be up for another roll in the hay ...

But who says Solas will be the next antagonist? I will be very disappointed if he is, that's just too easy.

He is powerful, but not omnipotent. He is not truly immortal, and Solas himself would take exception to the idea that he was "worshipped."

Naw, we need an Inquisitor.

Whether Solas is a God or not depends on your definition of God. He created the laws of the world as it currently exists, and that's enough to class him as one for me. Also, he would hate being called a God, so a small petty part of me calls him that to spite him for lying to me the entire game...

There are plenty of religions that don't class "omnipotent" as an aspect required for being a God.

More likely we'll have to find/build a McGuffin that takes away his power or exploit a weakness.
