Upper/Ruling, where I and my species naturally belong in relation to the others. My ability would be to order toasters to do my bidding.
What class will you choose?

Then uh don't take nova?
I shouldn't have to gimp myself to make a game more challenging.

Probably Infiltrator for my first file, and then Adept or Vanguard on the second. I'll probably do a playthrough for each class.

I wouldn't say not using it is gimping yourself but what does it matter if you are having fun? Blasting mercs in the face is good fun.

I'd say It does matter. Don't get me wrong nova is an awesome ability. Because it has been introduced into the Vanguard arsenal; not using it seems silly to me. I would like to use all abilities available to my class and still have a challenge, as in ME1 and 2. But it seems the only way to get a real challenge in ME3 is to fight all the shepards in the area on insanity solo.I wouldn't say not using it is gimping yourself but what does it matter if you are having fun? Blasting mercs in the face is good fun.
Edit: it's funny because EAware has the talent to make the game more challenging (i.e. fighting the shepards in the arena) but they didn't do it in the base game.

I'm not sure not taking a single power you have a issue with is gimping yourself. If it were 2 powers where points were getting thrown away maybe but after your bonus power if you go to 6 in every power pretty much nothing is left for nova. It's a totally viable build so yeah I'm not seeing it.

I'd say it is, given I'm actively deciding not to use a skill within my skill set just to try and make a game harder. When the player has to decide not to use abilities to make a game challenging, I'd say there's a problem there. Lack of balancing.

not decided yet but if the game has the same classes then it'll likely be soldier or Adept first time round I think. As they'er my favourite classes in the trilogy

Depends on how the classes play. In ME1 I did an Adept, ME2 Soldier, and ME3 Engineer.

Hmm, it all depends on if the classes are the same as the OT ones or not. If they are the same, then Vanguard here I come! If they are not, then I am going to have to wait and see if one of the classes is Vanguard-esque.

If the story is up to scratch all of them.
Yeah I'll play all of them too eventually I'd imagine but I'll likely start with Soldier/Adept for my first run.

Probably Adept, Vanguard and then Engineer in that order. Which is amusing because I hated Vanguard and Engineer in ME 1, but they got some really neat changes for ME 2 and 3 that made them a lot funner for me to play

If the classes are the same, I'll go with one I've never played before.
Engineer
Adept
Sentinel
One of these. Probably Adept.

Everybody needs a good Engineer.
It was my first class in ME and still is my go to class.

No clue yet. My class choice for my first playthrough will be based entirely on who our MC was before the game. If they were military my first character will be soldier/vanguard/infiltrator. If they were a specialist I'll go engineer/sentinel/adept depending on which seems most appropriate.
I do hope all six classes have new abilities/features. I also hope that your class choice is better represented in the game. I want people to treat my character differently if they are a soldier than if they are an engineer. Expectations other characters have should reflect on what your MC is supposed to be capable of. I also hope that the MC will have access eventually to ALL abilities in the game relevant to their class. The thing that annoyed me about ME and DA multiplayer was that my multiplayer characters had cooler and better abilities than my MC from the campaign, who is supposed to be more powerful.

Assuming all six return and we don't get new ones? Sentinel all the way.
But really. Why can't we have more than one pure physical class? Like scouts that are quicker than soldiers and are better at sniping but don't pack a punch. Or a class that dual wields pistols and/or machine guns. Or a field medic class? We will travel in packs of three anyway won't we? Get me a riot shield and I will tank.

Soldier, always go for the tank class in any type of game like this, as they are usually the most durable for me until I get used to the game.
