I'm looking to edit the description on the attributes, but I can't find the 2da related to them. Would anyone know where it is, or how to add the new strrefs?
Attribute 2da?

I believe you'll find that in dialog.tlk, not in a 2da.

But how would I link it with my custom tlk?

I couldn't say. I've never worked with a custom tlk. Someone else?

Last time, I edited the default tlk, but I've been warned that it could cause conflicts ![]()

Never edit the default dialog.TLK file.
If you have to make a change to a description in the dialog.tlk, the best way to do it is to make a custom dialog.TLK file (a copy, as it sounds like you've already done), add your own entries at the end, and then edit the 2DA file that references the descriptions in the TLK to point to your new descriptions.
Do not edit the default TLK file... Everything in it is referenced somewhere in a 2DA file.
1) Copy dialog.tlk
2) rename to your custom dialog.tlk
3) Associate it with your module (Custom TLK File property)
4) Add your new lines to your dialog.tlk
5) Here's the tricky part: find the 2DA that references the values in dialog.tlk, and point them to your new row numbers in your dialog.tlk
6) Put your edited 2DA files in a HAK
7) Associated the HAk with your modules
8) Put your custom TLK file in the /tlk folder
Done

I know that, that's what I'm doing ![]()
But there's no 2da for abilities, so how do you edit the ability descriptions?

On your tlk editor you could search for the line that has the description, like in windows Ctrl-f. Not by line number, but what's written on it. If Strength gives too many results, try writing a part of the description.

- search "ABILITIES_CONTAINER"
you could try using a custom.Tlk ref in there, and/or it's likely that a string-literal could be hooked up.

in Characterscreen.xml, for example, the attributes are ref'd by strref="183041"
- search "ABILITIES_CONTAINER"
you could try using a custom.Tlk ref in there, and/or it's likely that a string-literal could be hooked up.
That's how you want to change it.
You just don't want to edit the dialog.tlk. Somewhere, something references the string ID. In this case, it appears to be an XML dialog window.
Changing those refs should be easy, and then you can deploy the altered XML window with your campaign.
