Hey guys, what class should i start promoting? I'm new, and there's so much stuff to take in.. I played lots of mass effect 3 up until they released the last dlc, and that game was not nearly as complicated.

 

Should i save up gold and play at level 20 instead of promoting? I've heard promoting really makes the game easier but i need gear, so i don't know what to do.

Promote whoever you get to 20 first.  The gold will come on it's own.  You will find some jobs that feel more comfortable with your play style and they will end up with the most promotes.  At the beginning, promoting anything is a good idea, so go with what you are having the most fun with.

Buy platinum if you're really concerned about gear, otherwise just play and promote.  Enjoy and remember, everything is working as intended... EVERYTHING.

Don't do that.......   unless you have a surplus of cash you really don't mind wasting.

 

I bought platinum my first week playing.   Worst decision I made.

Yeah just spend a few thousand dollars on platinum first. If you are super duper lucky you might see a hakkon drop. Oh btw from what I know only a handful of people on the forum ever got hakkons from store chests. 

 

Just picture how much gold the community spent in total, then translate that into platinum and work out how many million dollars you need to secure a hakkon drop. 

 

Of course, if you are just super duper ultra lucky, just ignore what I said above.

Work on some of the challenge,too. Besides banners and portraits, some unlock equipment. My best stuff came from reward chests most of which came from weekend challenges, but they stopped doing them:( I've played a while and can't remember getting anything good out of the chests you find behind the class specific barrier doors.

Don't stay at 20.  You should promote (get more xp) because you need the 1,000,000 xp 3 times for the experienced rogue, warrior, and mage challenges to get the drakescale armors.  I agree with smurf that the easiest agents are lego, aw, and silent sis, but you need to unlock aw and ss.   Archer and keeper are actually pretty easy to play and not get aggro.  Archer don't take longshot and keeper try not to chain lightning unless everything is engaged to someone else and half dead.

Yup. All 3 starting agents are surprisingly good.

 

Lego = ultimate unkillable walking fortress. Infinite guard + god mode + multiple aoe taunts. You are the best tank and aggro (xp generation) machine! 

 

Archer = no CD. Leeching off other people crit feels awesome when you have low cunning. Just spam leap shot but not long shot unless you intend to be a tank... Usually that don't go very well without a couple hundreds of constitution.

 

Keeper is still one of the best support classes besides Saarebas and Virtuoso. The very original barrier spam + static cage / disruption field + fade cloak gives a great combination of support, CC and survivability.

Thanks guys playing it on xbone, it's a lot of fun but i often have problems finding games/losing connection as soon as i join on routine/threatening. Do people still play these difficulties? I have the game for PC, so i could switch over if the community's bigger there.

Well I only got 1 hakkon out of a store chest, then again I've been fairly lucky when it comes to RNG except for when it comes to the 2 hander...

I don't know about XB1, but I can find lobbies on PC for Peri or NM. Just that no one seems to join during the first 3 zones then suddenly all decides to show up when I reach zone 4 or 5...
