Awesome, that was it!
I checked out the files that Hellfire posted, and it's full of .GR2 files. I guess that means that something still remains to be done?
I have never heard of a .GR2 file and I'm not sure what those things might be.
any suggestions?

gr2 are animations and the base skeleton. You can tell what animations it has and lacks by the filenames, the gorgon has a death animation but lacks a spellcasting animation for instance.

You need it to perform an animation that isn't included?

I guess I misunderstood and asked the wrong questions. When I have incorporated custom creatures into my projects in the past, the creatures usually came with a 2da, mdb, dds, and utc files. I would merge my 2da and put the files into a .hak or campaign folder and everything worked fine, I don't even know where to begin with this stuff.
Could someone please explain what is required to get this creature into my campaign?

Put all of the files in your campaign folder, create a line for it in your appearance.2da if you don't have a 2da that already has an entry for this creature, and create your own UTC, perhaps by copying an existing creature and changing its appearance to this one.
The reserved ranges wiki page says that the gorgon's appearance should be somewhere in 4000-4199.
