I have plenty of ways romance can be improved but I'll get into that later. They need to show more skin? Bioware wasn't scared of it in DA:I and in the Witcher ( I know it wasn't bioware) it was fine. Don't be scared of vermin in the media like fox news. What are the haters gonna do? NOTHING. Nudity is a big issue for some people and I get that but people don't freaking put their clothes back on after sex and fall asleep. Be realistic. I am a fan of realism and there should be stuff like dates and other activities. Not just sex but that's part of it isn't it? Bioware can do a whole lot better than the stuff from ME3. We know they can.

This. I can deal with clever angles or whatever to hide nudity (ME1 style) if need be, but I still can't get over Traynor's shower o.O

Iron Bull is exactly how to do a romance right. Just lots of cut scenes, growth, and lots of good dialogue. I also really liked Cullen's and Solas' romance too. Just really DAI did a great job in the romance department I wish they would follow that example.

Is bulls romance actually that good? I haven't romanced him because of the bondage aspect, my second hand embarrassment is strong for that lol.

Thank you, I'd rather have my character not penetrated by an oxen.

I tried watching some you tube video's of it. But I got to embarrassed half way through and couldn't finish it lol

Which sucks because some of it looks hilarious.

DA:I

Can't say anything about romance with the Bull.

ME:A

I sincerely hope that the ME:A game concept people declined the idea of bizarro romances. They are not necessary to the theme of the game nor is there a need to "push the envelope". Let Bio use the limited word budget to maximize character growth, dialogue, personal touches via cut scenes and humour between the two and with others.

In ME1, had the camera pan from left to right instead of panning straight to their faces, the whole scene is sexier than ME2 and ME3 counterparts. Both characters are naked, there's a lot of touching and eye contact. Too bad, its ruined by Fox News.

Although, I still find its creepy that Liara's eyes turning black when she sit on top of Shepard. They really cant do away with comical alien sex, no?

I find its even weirder in LOTSB where she grope Shepard and her eyes turned black. I mean, come on. At least, pan on Shepard's face... make him/her look like they're in orgasmic rapture or something.

Why bother writing good romances' paths when all you have to do is to put tech-trinkets that calculate which is the best way to get to sleep with somebody? You can't blame the press if even Saints' Row made fun of you, Fartware.

Right, like they did with Iron Bull--in fact,  I'd go so far as to say that Iron Bull's romance is probably the best example of all that in a BioWare game. Well-written, smartly paced romances and 'bizzaro' romances are not mutually exclusive. Besides, how do you define a 'non-bizzaro' romance, anyway?

If DA: I's anything to go by, we'll probably end up with about eight romanceable characters in total, not including the odd casual fling. It'd be rather unfortunate - and, by unfortunate, I mean, 'endlessly dull' - if all those romances all adhered to some arbitrary idea of what a 'normal' romance is, particularly with the precedent established by DA: I.

Andromeda should follow Saints Row's lead ;)

For people who don't know: Saint Row 4 features "romances" in the sense that the player can select a button and get a fade-to-black that serves as the "romance" though most are sexual and in all, nothing else comes of it as far as I can remember. It does not exist in any other scenes outside of that one each character has, to my memory. There are obvious differences between Saint Row 4's "romances" and Bioware's.

It's basically a parody and not the kind of parody I took to be mean-spirited.

Yeah, out of all of them, Johnny's was really sweet.

I don't know if this has been said, but I'm not going to read 34 pages of this topic to find out. :D

In Dragon Age Inquisition, in the Trespasser DLC, the Inquisitor has a nervous breakdown, and, if romanced, Cullen will come over and give her a genuine hug.

I feel like it would be sweet if our LI recognized we are struggling and just gave us a hug. Everyone needs hugs.

Admittedly, Johnny's pre-fade-to-black is kind of sweet, though; it feels like it is genuine on the part of both characters especially because of both his reaction and the Boss' confession;

I really really hated how no one ever criticized Shepard's decisions throughout the trilogy always made me angry. It was like they all joined the Cult of The Shepard just ugh.

They did that with Kaidan and Ashley, and it became annoying tbh.

Shep: Sup Kaishley lets save the galaxy from Saren.

Kaishley: Shepard omg we're overwhelmed but you need to save the opposite gendered version of me you know its the right thing.

Shepard: No but I wanna save you.

Kasihley: Sweet m8, omg we did it, and I love you .....lets date.

*Shepard, Garrus and Grunt enters Horizon* (because they just do ok)

Shepard: Sup Kaishley its been a while I still love that booty doe.

Kaishley: Omg shepard commander of the normandy saviour of the citadel, I love you too but you're with cerberus AND GARRUS TOO!?!? gasp our love can never be.

Shepard: I've had enough of this damn planet.

*enter Mass Effect 3*

Kasihley: Shepard!!!

Shepard: Major?

Kaishley: Didn't mean to keep you out of the loop bruh

*fast forward to mars*

Kaishley: You saved my life, and saved the galaxy twice but it's  "convenient" that Cerberus is here.

Kaishley: Give me a straight answer now!

Shep: I'm not explaining myself to you anymore ffs

Kaishley: Is this what they did to you? I romanced you, and you saved the galaxy twice but i'm not sure if you're you.

Shep: You can join me or you can leave

*Kaishley gets rekt by edi and is now in hospital*

Kaishley: I'd like to get past horizon but even on Mars things were rough between us.

Shep: Yep, and that had zero to do with you questioning me the entire mission after you should know me by now. Matter fact why did I even come visit you in this hospital i'm leaving.

I can't help but think that the design intent was for ME3 to have the same attitude towards nudity that DAI did, but this got vetoed by EA and they had to go with underwear skins.

It's great. Manages to be hilarious, touching, and maybe outright tragic, depending on choices.

The Cassandra romance scene in DAI. That's what we need. With a dash of the scene where Geralt "romances" the red head in Witcher 2.
