I know right. I need a romance to pull at my heartstrings otherwise what am I doing wasting my time with it. There needs to be a romantic, giving and loyal romance partner that makes me melt.

In that case I think Bioware should not look at either DAI or the Witcher franchise for sex scenes. Instead they should look at ME3's Liara's sex scene. That was much better done than the sex scenes in DA or TW.

well that's just your opinion man. The Witcher did it right in mine. Sex is an added bonus to romance. It needs to be worked for and teased a little bit. It needs to be real and passionate right?

Hugging, holding hands, taking out to dinner, even refusing a love scene. All these exist.

 

The thing is, no matter how well-written a romance was, sometimes its not about the romance itself but the person you want to romance. Not all pairings share the same romantic path or scenes. Its okay to feel dissatisfied with what you get from the original trilogy but frankly, stuff like this is quite guaranteed to be in MEA.

But there's a very low chance for the writers to make gay romances to become straight... there's always mods though.

Regarding game romance:

- no more Jacob like romance arc, please.. that one is just no. A really big NO
- no more sending your man to impregnate another woman to save both of your asses to get the happy ending.
- you can work out a happy ending with LI depending on choice (qun!Bull / vashoth!Bull)
- an option to accept happily/decline respectfully/run like a bat from hell when your LI proposes.
- after a few clicks on the 'heart icon' I would love it if the LI is the one doing the wooing for a change or be a tad more agressive (when kaidan just sort of grabs shepard and kisses her on the FoB, man.. that was awsome)
- booty calls (Cullen, I blame you for this..)
- I want my ass to be rescued by my LI (like that time in citadel dlc. I love that dlc so damn much)
- more dates and hang outs (jack in that combat sim / in a cafe with kaidan / casino with miranda..)
- LI can move in with the protag depending on player's consent
- crew members comment. (Love dorian's comment on my chosen LI and the nobles gossiping on my love life)
- facial expression and gestures. One of the things that I love about Cullen's romance is how he cup's my quizitor's face and looks at her with much care and affection.
- last but not least, i hope the friendmance path will be just as breath taking as the romanced one. Friendmance with Miranda and Samara gives me all the warmsies feeling and being BFF with Cassandra totally blew my mind..

You know the more kid friendly games get, the less "romance" is involved. Fallout is a good series but there is less of a emphasis on romance and sex. Mass Effect is a step up but not quite there. DAI stepped it up with new romance mechanics and nudity. The witcher, now that game did romance right. Geralt was a straight up gangsta. Witcher 2 romance scene with triss, it was perfect in all the right ways, realistic is what I mean. Bioware shouldn't be afraid to go into that realm. I hope you read this bioware.

If the protagonist really is named Ryder, I shall be supremely disappointed if there isn't at least one joke about them Ryding their LI.

 

That should also be the mechanic in sex scenes. The LI or the PC is always Ryding the other in the sex scene.

Maybe have some be what you describe, and others be different body types like for example lithe, amazonian, etc.

I'm just hoping in the future we can customize our build. It's been done in lesser rpg's. I can understand why they don't but it would still be cool and funny. I just want to play as a muscular guy. And to me the ladies arms were TOO skinny. Im not saying that all the girls in the games need to be female bodybuilders but at least have some muscular strength. They're warriors. The women in the military and crossfit are ripped!!!

I love the body sliders for SWTOR. It does make things unique. I use a larger tougher looking female body type for two of my heavy hitting toons; a Juggernaut and a Pyrotech and a lot of bulky armors look good for both of them. Both Rattataki too.

But romances can be problematic, I don't really feel any of their romance options fit them. But I wouldn't mind a larger-build male like James and Iron Bull to romance with.

I just want more physical intimacy without going all the way to sex, which is kind of already what I said I guess. 

 

I could also stand to abandon all the cheesy stuff, though I consider that less likely. 

 

And no pandering, if you don't want something yourself stop imagining what people who want those things might want. DA:I was chock full of that crap.
