Don't forget she then threw the priceless gem overboard rather than selling it to support her family.
After hiding it from the police and its rightful owner for DECADES!!!

I wouldn't go that far. Sure, maybe there's a considerable group of people with a particular preference in style but i believe that everyone with an interest in romance just want to see it bloom in a proper way.
Gosh...
Well that's why it was my question,
, maybe someone could explain better just what it is that they want to see so I wouldn't be tempted to lump them in with the types that have Leo X Kate posters all over their walls. ![]()

Yep. Rose is clearly the villain of the movie Titanic.
That is different. That is the same lines, which they all recorded for. For this, Cullen has completely unique lines between the two, you can't find the same with any other characters like straight Sera or straight Dorian or gay Blackwall if you think that it's intended.
2 options just like with every other games out there, so you're making it as if they make some major changes to that or something, even then, I find some problem with how they handle Dorian's story but that's a different topic.
No, there is no difference. They wrote and recorded lines and animated scenes for Ashley. That's equal to if not more than what they did for Cullen. It's only different because in Cullen's case it affected you.

It depends on the characters really. There's no secret formula or it shouldn't exist at least o_o. For some characters, things like sex should be as normal drinking water while others should be more reserved and an explicit sex scene would feel out of place, maybe
You know, with posts like these, I have to ask, what exactly distinguishes the perspective on sexuality in a Bioware game from that of other more conventional media like Jane Austen
BioWare romances don't have Colin Firth as Darcy.

Matthew MacFayden then? ![]()

That's kind of my sense I guess it's not like... as dry as a pure big gulf between the characters Romance, but it's not necessarily super far away from Titanic either.
It's more like Zoe and Wash from Firefly? ![]()

Kaidan is my main romance in ME, so tell me more about how the only difference here is it affected me after having to wait for 3 games for an inferior version from femShep.
And yet, you can't show me the same thing for any other companions like Black Wall, Dorian, or Sera, and you also have no explanation for why those dialogues are unique and exclusive for male Inquisitor. Do you ever admit you're wrong?
Kaidan wasn't intended to be bisexual either. His character was based on Carth Onasi (who had a wife and a son) and his backstory is about how he killed a turian who hurt his first love who is a girl. Even Sbarge was careful when he said "Kaidan was created for women... and certain men" in his ME3 interviews. Cullen backstory also include his crush on a certain female Amell mage and as templar, I suppose he's more like warrior priest (eeeek Jedi)... but I was quite surprised that they didn't choose to give playersexual treatment to Cullen... I had expected it after they did it with Kaidan which is surprisingly more popular than Cortez. But I wished Bioware had considered making BroShep as possible gay from the start, probably save me all the eye rolling whenever camera pan inappropriately female NPCs booty.... not interested. move along.
But Straight Male Inquisitor does miss out a lot... especially when there's romance potential with Scout Harding...
If we're going that route... *pulls out a list of fetishes*Needs some hardcore sex included.
Harding and Leliana... *sigh*Kaidan wasn't intended to be bisexual either. I don't think that comparing characters will help much. If we do that, we'd diminish the importance of those characters as individuals and that would be a major failure imo

This is what I dislike, they have unique dialogue and ending for Cullen with male Inquisitor, something you can't find with any other companions like Blackwall, Dorian, Sera, Cassandra. They really should have included him as an option for male Inquisitor. I originally go for Josephine but stop after learning her relationship is ambiguous. It's just something I'm not a fan of. It's not about the sex scene, it's more about the clarity of the relationship since I'm fine with fade to black and sex scenes by DA team is terrible.
I think it would be interesting to see something that deviates from the standard formula. For example, PC and LI hit it off super early, f*** like bunnies, and then spend the rest of the game trying to maintain the relationship.
I guess In Dragon Age you could kinda do this is you focused on the romances from the beginning.

I started guessing because no one wanted to answer more substantially... but there's no real reason for me to do that, in my mind, Bioware is essentially pretty much like most romantic stories you see in most media, like it's mostly the same basic ideas, desires, wants. If I didn't look twice the fanbase and company is basically like another Hollywood movie company.
I don't see big differences, but I also don't really see agreement on that, so, my question. ![]()
But.. I also just don't really want to go back and forth if no one wants to explain it more or talk about it so whatever..

Scout Harding is well liked, I hope she'll become a companion in a future game and a possible LI.

suit yourself! cheers!
One thing I loved about Origins is how the relationship had various stages such as warm, care, love, etc. And the way that their demeanor/response when you talked to them or commanded them changed based on that relationship.I think it would be interesting to see something that deviates from the standard formula. For example, PC and LI hit it off super early, f*** like bunnies, and then spend the rest of the game trying to maintain the relationship.

I think that's not in contention. BioWare makes fairly standard romances but in video games for a wider audience than most people. What they offer isn't interesting so much as what they offer it in and to who.
suit yourself! cheers!
Sorry I can't help myself! I'll just guess another time... I think from my perspective there's like, two Biowares. There's like Bioware the game company which made stuff like BG1, DA1, ME1, NWN1, Jade Empire, Sonic (lol yes some people actually know about that), SWTOR, SWTOR expansions like Hutt Cartel and Shadow of Revan. they tend to focus on creating new RPG or action elements etc etc.
This is also where you get some of the crazier aesthetics and ideas I think, less mainstream for sure.
Then there is the kind of second Bioware the story company which made stuff like BG2, Throne of Bhaal, maybe you count Hordes of the Underdark, Dragon Age 3, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age Awakening, Knights of the Fallen Empire, and stuff like that.
The story company tends to be more invested in Romantic aspects, and yeah I think if you didn't look at it twice it looks mostly like a major Hollywood movie company or something.
The RPG/Action game side is pretty different and seems to have a different aesthetic quality.
It seems to lead back to the original issue which is it's asking about "romance mechanics" which are typically the purview of the story half of Bioware, but which is fundamentally asking about a "game concept," which inherently games are interactive non-traditional story so, it's sort of like a paradoxical thing to ask for in a sense.
As for desiring those romantic aspects they are more commonplace as you see trailers and interest in "story Bioware" is like 5-6 million and looks all movie like whereas "RPG Bioware" is like 200k or something at most much smaller thing.
None.
BioWare Romances are awful and have been awful for the longest time.
What i want to know is...can i spank npcs? I've heard that Frostbyte can destroy the enviroment but i haven't heard anything about the spanking. It would add a whole need dimension to the romance!
