Why can't the Inquisitor just shatter every Eluvian they come across on their way back once they've heard Solas' plan? Like, just smash them with magic and muscle, then further destroy the pieces and take what they can't destroy with them. Really cripple the Eluvian network, and thus Solas' ability to wreck ****.

Because you only go through a tiny number of Eluvians? I guess you could smash them if it would really make you feel better, but you don't have access to enough of them to deal any real damage to the network.

Yeah, smashing a few mirrors isn't going to do anything.

You'd be surprised how infrequently "just smash it" is a solution.

And if Merrill and Morrigan is an indicator, they can always make more

You'd be cutting access to the Elvhen Internet(Vir Dirthara) and wherever else that huge one Solas goes through leads. There's also the fact that you aren't an expert navigator so there could be many paths you didn't know how to access, yet you might be able to cut Solas from.

It's also why I said smash then steal the leftovers, so they can't be fixed.

Smashing all of those mirrors will give you many years of bad luck.

The eluvians might be the key to surviving in the Veilless world. Each eluvian in the Crossroads shows the theme of its location. The one in Halamshiral shows Orlesian walls and fountains on the Crossroads side. The eluvians that lead to the ruins or Deep Roads, they show their respective themes as well. So maybe things in close proximity to the mirrors will retain their shape in the Veilless world. If this magic can be harnessed, then real matter could be held in the Crossroads. Thus giving humanity a chance to exist in the raw chaos and launch a counter-strike.

Humanity existed before the Fall of the Elvhenan and thus before the Veil, Solas is probably "merging" Heaven(Fade) and Earth(Materium), not replacing one with the other. Andruil and her followers made a sport of hunting humans.

Right, allow Solas to concoct and carry out his plan in isolation with no way to reach him so you can prevent it. Are you a General or something?

I remember Dorian - if you take him to the Library - saying how there's enough here (eluvians) to try to replicate it.

who knows, maybe in DA4  Tevinter might have successfully create their own (crude) version of the Eluvian Network

Humans, or mortals? As in, non-evanuris elvhen. It's possible that removing the Veil will merge the Fade and the Real, but even in this case, what will the new existence be like? I suspect it will be like the Crossroads, where there is no bottom. Thus, the eluvians may allow for islands to form, and the humans can exist on these islands.

They've had eluvians for centuries, and the most they could do was make them work as communication devices. I've heard what Dorian said, and it's a moot point since you can't get back to the Vir Dirthara to study anything after Trespasser anyway. But perhaps with the knowledge of how the eluvians are supposed to work, some in Tevinter may be able to make new kinds that Solas won't have control over. I think this might hinge on Morrigan however, as she's the only one to have recently made an eluvian.

In theory, their new eluvians would need to connect to a place in the Crossroads, or connect directly to another eluvian. They would also need to make them in a way so that Solas cannot hijack them. Perhaps the different dimension technology of Amgarrack could play a part in this. Or maybe that technology was merely tapping in to aspects of the Crossroads.

Humans, they arrived to the continent of Thedas 4000 years ago and around 2000 years before the fall of Arlathan.

But wasn't Arlathan the first elven kingdom in the real world? I thought the elvhen kingdom that existed in the Crossroads and in the world before was called Elvhenan.

That included Arlathan. I believe Solas makes this point.
