Well that's tells me we're not gonna agree on this at all. A friend, a comrade, a confident. You can be plenty more than just a useful tool to someone in command.
And yet they don't act on it. Why wouldn't they? Why wouldn't they take the PC's blood? *shrug*
Also you can bring X6 on board the Prydwen and no one says anything (even if the second you dismiss him he opens fire upon every BOS member he sees). You can bring Hancock and Nick on board without issue. Sole gets away with plenty that other knights wouldn't.
Well, there's still this thing called Fraternization, I'll always be a comrade and a brother/sister to my fellow brothers and sisters, a confident at times but once you reach a certain rank it just has to stop and become a more professional relationship. I wonder if romancing Danse would have worked if he'd stayed in the BoS, the nail that drives the romance home is after Blind Betrayal when he's no longer a Paladin. In ME both Joker and Vega don't romance you because of it (I deleted the Vega rape from my mind, it never happened as far as I'm concerned.)
And I really wish that Bethesda would have been more consistent with who can and can not come aboard the Prydwen. They dropped the ball on that one and I'm disappointed because of it. That's why I role play it the way I do because I do not want to be able to get away with bringing them on board
Edit for on topic. Fewer romances means less plot holes in romances which can and should equal to a deeper story which I'd prefer.
