I would like fewer romance options with deeper story relevance.

That doesn't mean they'd let them on their ship. Nick is ridiculous to justify. He has dialogue with banter with the BOS paladins and reacting to Maxson. I'd buy the gameplay excuse if he was mute as he's not...you already can get hostility from bringing Danse along it's not much of a stretch to apply that to other companions.

Like really I view joining the BOS the same way I view someone joining the Legion. Just. LOL.

If only we had an offtopic to discuss this in :(

Danse has a special coding that make them hostile toward him, even if you remove his faction ties. As I said, it's just more convenient sake, you mention both Nick and Hancock, but the biggest offender should have been Strong.

Never said the MM were a proper military operation (thankfully) they're just a group of loosely baned civilians trying to carve up something safe. That has it's positives and negatives.

Also the BOS aren't fine without the SS actually not in my games :D

See the BOS and their anti-synth abominations should've killed kid Shaun. That would've been fitting.

Maxson isn't an idiot. Losing not just one good soldier but two would've been a great blow. (Also he could've yeah. He also would've died for it and I'd taken that sweet sweet coat.) Also ewww he looks far too old for his age and that beard. And his voice man...no bueno.

Without the SoSu none of the factions would have a good time, the BoS would search forever for the Institute, the Institute wouldn't have a successor, the MM would just disappear. The only ones that could make it are the RR but without Father who knows what becomes of the Institute and the Gen 3 synths. They might run out of Synths to help.

I figured If I'd leave Shaun on the Prydwen they'd eventually cut him open or have him in a cage to observe or something like that. (he was held captive in the Institute too so not much of a difference)

Edit: As far as Maxson is concerned Danse is not a soldier of the BoS anymore, he's actually a liability that he lets roam free. If the other Elders would find out Maxson would be in some deep trouble.

Thank you  so more of a moral Gray Area I think i might pick this game up been waiting on a steam sell.

You can get the game on Amazon for 20 dollars off right now. You could also get it off other shopping websites for similar deal and download it to your steam's game. That's the best deal you can get right now.

? The Institute would have a successor. It just would've been Father's second pick. Pretty sure the Institute has enough experimental material to last after Father dies.

? You consider keeping a child to being held captive? O_o What should they have done? Turned him loose among the commonwealth?

Re: edit: Given his soldiers are fanatics it's more likely they'd blame the PC (Who actually was supposed to kill Danse) than their precious Maxson. And Maxson would be likely to throw the PC under the bus as well.

And they could've coded that in for Nick and Hancock.

I don't mention Strong because I don't use Strong. God who does he hates everything.

Because it would be annoying if half your companions can't be brought over to the BoS, it would add an annoying factor to the game. I'm glad they don't code that, Danse is bad enough since I bring him everywhere.

It would've made sense however given the BOS attitudes. But I suppose I'll have to wait for a mod to fix that.

Well the Institute had him in a glass cage, like the Gorilla prototypes. I found it hilarious.

I took him back to Sanctuary with me anyways.

I do wonder how long the Institute would last really, there seems to be infighting going on

They were fighting over budget funding and power, also about who would succeed Father, some of the random conversations earlier before he named you the director had them talking about who would be in charge. It's more on a professional sense than actual hostility toward each other. If you've been working, it's more like catty workers at a water cooler. I would personally see it as favoritism also if I've been dedicated myself to this company hoping for a chance for a promotion but then the boss brings in his frat kid son and make him the new boss after he leaves. I would feel like it's nepotism.

If the institute would have a successor I bet it would have to  be the enclave there  like the shadow brotherhood of steel.but then I don't know we pretty much destroyed them in broken steell DLC for fallout 3.

Admittedly I don't remember the episode it is from, but it is a useful gif.

Well if you don't know anything at all about it, Data is an android who normally is not so expressive.

Oh that was just for your benefit. He's clearly shown later just sitting talking to Li. Not stuck in a cage.

I kind of wish I could have him go to Sanctuary when you side with the Institute but bah.

Eh it seemed normal power play kind of stuff. Not anything that'd break the institute down. (The only one who seemed to actually be an issue was Ayo).

Romance in Bioware games is a spice.  It's an unnecessary addition to the dish, but it helps add to the overall unique taste of their work.  However, using too much spice takes away from the natural flavor of the dish.

My point is, the romances in Bioware games can always be better.  Each subsequent title brings more feedback and more improvements to the romance elements in future installments.  When all is said and done, Bioware makes action RPGs (mostly), not romance games.  Unlike the inclusion of multiplayer -- which some still claim takes away from single player content despite the budgets being separate -- romance content actually uses the same resources as all other single player content.  This is likely why no "Romance DLC" has ever been done, regardless of all the times it has been mentioned.  Not all players enjoy the romance elements of their games and Bioware knows this.

That being said, I love Bioware romances and I wish that they were integral to the plot, but I understand why they're not.  Ultimately, most gamers would prefer to experience more main missions and side quests than romance subplots.  Not to mention, most gamers only see 20-30% of the total amount available romance content available and that's typically over the course of two or three playthroughs.  Anything beyond that is just pure dedication to virtual love or youtube compilation videos.
