You can get number 1 on the list (very easily I might add).
And no, Aria does not send you a message when you do. (But James will when you break 9999).

If you do the AAA challenges/missions you should get it easy-peezy.
And Aria doesn't send you an email, only a bottle of Krogan brandy.

I don't remember Aria sending anything.
To break the scoreboard, you just need to unlock the elite or super elites and a couple bonuses. With enemies on super elite and three or four bonuses active you don't even need to get max killstreaks.
