Advertisement English is not my first language, so please, be respecfull and patient.

I don’t want this to be too long to read, so I won’t say every details and every evidence and proof, and of course : spoiler alert!

The old story of the elfs that can be found in dragon age origins tell this: the world begin with the sun and the earth, they were in love. They had a son and a daughter, Elgarn’nan and Mythal. They loved their child so much, the Earth creates a land where they can live and the sun brought life on the land.

With time, the sun begin jealous of the earth and kill every creature by burning them, out of rage, Elgar ‘Nan go fight the sun (yeah that is right into the lore) for days. Somehow, Elgar’nan won, but Mythal convince him to not kill him, but just bane him. Elgarn’nan banned the sun in the ‘’void’’ allowing the sun to be see only half of the time from far away (making the days and the night).

Then we jump to what we know from inquisition (spoiler alert) mixed with what I found in origin.

Solas tell us the elven gods killed Mythal in a war between the olds gods. The story from origins tell us they were 7 elven gods (8 but, 2 of them are twins and they are inseparable, like one entity) and 7 forgotten ones from the void (where the sun was banned!) where fighting, when Fen’harel, a third party (Solas from inquisition) deceive them all an imprisoned them all in a ‘’city in the sky’’. I wont be too long here, but I have evidences for that city be the golden/black city from the fade. Solas told us in inquisition, in doing so, he created the fade.

Another jump in dragon age timeline There was the time of the Telvinter Empire. In short they ruled over half the world and where lead by their priest of the olds dragons gods. They were 7 of them (coincidence?). The priests have been revealing to be not only prayers, but dreamwalker (people in the dragon age universe who are conscious when they sleep and walk in the fade). They were 7 priests, on for each god, and they had been task by the voice of the old gold in their dream to send 7 Telvinter mages reach the golden city. Coryphaeus (main villain of inquisition) was one of those mages and when we release him in dragon age 2, he is says this: ‘’we came to the golden city, but it was… black, corrupted, empty’’. He is too confused to try to lie, so we have here confirmation that the city never has been golden, like the chantry (dragon age main religion) says, and they didn’t bring corruption, they release it! Getting infected with it, becoming darkspawn.

This is where I start Theorise: The architect (darkspawn from dragon age awakening) have been confirmed to be like coryphaeus by one of the writer of dragon age, yet he show similar power, he is too one of the Telvinter mage.

Never ask yourself why darkspawn take so much time to find and awake an archdemon?, when grey warden already know where they are? It’s because only the Telvinter mage can awake them. The architect didn’t know that, but he admits to your character that he is the cause of the 5e blight (main story of the first game). And did you notice those Telvinter mage possess more power than archdemon?, this is what I think:

The archdemon are dragon with the elven gods soul that Solas lock in the black city, and the 7 telvinter mage have the soul of the forgottens one, and that was all the plan of solas and mythal. For their plan to work, the soul of the elven gods have to remains in the sleeping dragon until a telvinter mage corrupt him with the soul of a forgotten one, then happens a blight and the grey warden kill him, so the elven gods is destroy for good (solas quote: the elven gods wasn’t easy to kill). And when he heard of the plan of the greywarden to kill the archdemon before they are awaken, he for the only time of the game, he panic. Because this would release the elven gods.

But there was an escape for Mythal, the dark ritual. As we know, flemeth have Mythal soul in her, when we ask her why she have been choose by Mythal, she said: she have been betrayed exactly like I was. Solas revealed to us the elven god killed mythal, but not how or why. We could assume this is the betrayal flemeth talk about, but we have no evidence.

The story of flemeth is simple: she had a husband she didn’t love, she had a lover, her husband find it, kill him, and prison her in the goal of killing her some days after. Then a spirit freed her and gives her power. Flemeth reveale us not only that story is true, but that spirit was Mythal.

We know another character with a really similar story: Andraste. She was the wife of Maferath, but the lover of the maker. Maferath became jealous and burn her to die (no spirit came to help) a servant of andrastee took the ashes and build a temple to protect them.

And this is my big mind blowing evidence: the date of birth of andrastee is the same of death of the first Archdemon!!! This mean this is too much a coincidence, the dark ritual should have been used and andrastee would have in her the soul of an old gods, aka mythal. Andrastee did 2 big things in her life: creating the chantry to promote the Maker as the only true god, and free the elves slaves. Freeing the elven slave make sense for an elven goddess, but not creating a new religion, unless this isn’t a new one. Solas told us in inquisition Elrgar’nan and the other elven gods, was false god. To claim they weren’t god but admitting their enormous power, he must have something to compare: a true god. The maker, or as the old elven story name him: the sun.

Admit it! It isn’t even hidden: what is the symbole of the Maker? The sun! And he is the god of what? Of light!

II know this have been a long lecture, but I haven’t told one of my biggest evidence. To have this one, you need to ask me.

Corypheus though isn't proof though that the city was never golden because he's also rants about how he walked its golden halls which would be impossible to do if the city was black and also given the nature of the fade its quite possible that it might have became corrupted because of the very act used to breach the city, after all they slaughtered hundreds of not thousands of slaves to breach the city and blood magic is known for its corruptive nature. It also runs into the fact the city was believed and seen as being golden not just by the later chantries but by the ancient Tevinter Imperium and other peoples from before the city was breached. There is also the possibility his memory is damaged and he doesn't correctly recall what really happened.

As for the maker the writers did confirm that he was the same entity as the ancient northern Neromenian and the later ancient Tevinter imperium creator deity that those peoples believed created the world though its only the Tevinter and the later chantry that its certain connected the golden city to the maker. We don't know wither the Northern Neromenians thought the same, if the old gods put it in the heads of the Tevinter or if it was just the idea that their creator diety must surely have as impressive city to live in at the heart of creation just as the Imperium was centered in the greatest city in the world.

... And there I was, thinking about how wonderful a story arch it would be if one would discover that the Old Gods' names were the names given to the known Elven gods by the humans before they formed their empires. We have seen Mythal, we know Solas is Fen'Harel, and, if this would be both storyline and canon, we would have five archdemons/gods perished in those 5 blights (4 if Morrigan performed the Dark Ritual), That leaves at least one god standing. I imagine more than one sequel to DA:I.

Human Maker does not exist, never was and Andraste who was a dreamer mage may lie or have connection with some deamon or have connection with some ancient magister like Coryfeus who wanted to reclaim Imperium lands, noone exept her never see or heard maker exept  Archon Hessarian as was claimed

We do not even know many things about andraste and her childrens and their line what was kinda hided by Orlais Chantry who just rid from many info about her and execute those "heretics" who try to find truth about her

Thedas "Maker"-real god and creator is only Elgarnan who was the first, sun was his symbol from the beginning and he was control Titans and dragons with dragonknights which humans are worshiped before Ancient Tevinter and Old Gods who was putted in deepest prison

Fade was created by Solas with a orb what was not his(and he cant do anything without it as create new) and from Titan what was slayed by Myrhal when Titan was awakened cos of blight and Elgarnan was not in Thedas to shut them down again

first blight was started by the dwarven miners who dig archdeamon tomb with darkspawns in it

There is an interesting bit of lore in World of Thedas 1 and that is that the elves believe it was Mythal who created the world with the assistance of Elgar'nan.   However, elven lore also speaks of Elgar'nan attacking the sun because of it harming his creations and imprisoning it.    Then Mythal soothes him and persuades him to release the sun again.   Clearly the sun cannot have been imprisoned because life would not exist, so this story must be symbolic in some way.

I do wonder if there is a connection between Mythal and Andraste;it may be that Flemeth wasn't Mythal's first host.   In Andraste's version of creation the Maker first creates the Fade and the Spirits and only later the material world because the spirits don't do anything creative with the Fade.   Only when they see the possibilities of the material world do the spirits start to get the idea.   Jealous of the creatures in the real world, they attempt to usurp the Maker's place.   Now the Chant has been filtered through the memories and political agenda of subsequent followers of Andraste but if you take a broad view of what is contained in the creation myth you can actually see the connection with what we know of the Evanuris.

The Maker is pure spirit and the source of all life.  He is called the Wellspring in one part of the Chant.   The Evanuris were some of the most powerful spirits.   They were all meant to acknowledge the Maker but he also wanted them to have freedom of action.   Mythal was the one who was assigned the task of keeping them in order.   Thus she was the Protector and administer of justice.   Originally all the spirits were equal.   With the creation of the material world, some started to investigate.   If you assume at this point that humans were very primitive beings, their emotions were very basic too.   The spirits started to identify with them and gradually took on material appearance that was similar.   They started to develop more complex emotions and personalities.    They became the first elves.    The elf spirits started to control the world and came into conflict with one another.   The Creators, who came from the pro-Maker faction, opposed those who were against.   Mythal and the other Creators, on behalf of the Maker, banished their enemies to the Void, the Forgotten Ones.      However, the Creators or Evanuris gradually became more powerful and received the worship of their subjects as gods, thus usurping the Maker in their thoughts.    The Maker was happy to allow this provided Mythal was still in control.     The Golden City was the city of the Maker because it was originally created by Mythal.     The codices in the Temple of Mythal talk about Mythal's cities.   The Golden City was the central point of Elvhenan.   All eluvians connected with it and it had seven gates, to allow each god their own entrance to it.    Mythal had led a march against the Titans, probably another set of spirit/material beings.     They had given rise to dwarves but the dwarves were simply mindless drones.   Mythal overthrew the Titans (or at least one of them) and freed the dwarves to develop as independent beings.   However, she also discovered lyrium, the blood of the Titan, which increased the power of those who used it.    This was likely why the Evanuris murdered her, because she was denying them access but also how they managed to do so.    Fen'Harel, who was her follower and likely her champion, responded by finding a way to imprison the false gods, possibly even inspired by the Maker to do so through his dreams and this was how he gained the knowledge to create the Veil.

After the Creators were imprisoned by Fen'Harel, the way was clear for the Forgotten Ones to start speaking to humanity from the Void.   They encouraged the use of blood magic, the scavenging of elven ruins to gain further magical knowledge and the enslavement of the elves.    Finally they encouraged them to enter the Golden City because it had been a source of power to the Creators.     The combination of massive blood sacrifice and huge amounts of lyrium, caused the latter to become corrupt and become the first red lyrium.  This in turn corrupted both the Magisters and the City.   Alternatively, red lyrium was already in the Deep Roads, having been corrupted by the Evanuris and the Golden City was an illusion, having already turned black on Mythal's death.   Fen'Harel had left a trap within it so that any who tried to enter would instantly be transported into a prison deep within the earth.    The Forgotten Ones may have attempted to enter the Golden City themselves not long after the disappearance of the Evanuris and were themselves imprisoned as a result.

When Mythal encountered Andraste, she gave her knowledge of the Maker.   She was inspired to challenge the enslavement of Tevinter and their false gods.    However, when this failed, Mythal was returned to the Fade to await a new host.

There is also a possibility that Mythal returned prior to Andraste as the leaf eared lover of Tyrdda Brightaxe.  The lover is referred to as the laughing Lady of the Skies and the Lady of the Skies is also an Avaar goddess.    A descendent of Tyrdda is known as Morrighan'nan.         It is noticeable that Flemeth really loves to laugh, so may be that is a trait of Mythal.
