The best part of this thread is finding new bands to listen to (and old favorites).
I love you guys!
Indeed. One of the best things about the OT thread was finding new music. Such diversity in the posts. A lot quieter here but it's tough keeping posts to the constraints of this part of the forum. guitarmouse was one of my favorites from the OT thread and many of her posts had a similar imperative to Whitehorse. Thus part of the reason for the burst of reminiscence for me.
Music is important to the experience in video games. Many of the posts here, if not re-interpreted for the setting, could be said to be unsuitable. However, it seems most are listening more deeply and realize that's not the case. It's the emotional provocation and the movement of thought underlying the songs that coincides with their hoped for ME:A experience.
These posts are something for the composer(s)/musical director for Mass Effect to consider if they'd like. As well as something to pass the time and share among ourselves as part of our self.

Since I'm on the subject of the OT music thread I'll mention this before I drop it. You should try that with the OT thread but with every post of the same song increasing the volume of that song by a little bit. I bet you'll end up hearing Drake rapping to ACDC. ![]()

I had posted about Suicide and Alan Vega before in reference to Riders on the Storm/Ghost Riders in the Sky but after finding out about Vega's passing I decided on posting that song on this thread in tribute.

She's an amazing visionary musician.
It's been made known to me in the past that some consider my musical taste one of my redeeming qualities. ![]()

De Ambassade - Wat Voel Je Nou?
Probably something like:
Rainbow: Stargazer or We catch the Rainbow
And definitely the lineup with Ronnie J Dio singing.
Picture it. You are your ME:A character, looking out of your sleek, subtly beweaponed space craft at the beginning of your new adventure. Pieces of some vanquished foe's ship spin silently across the vista of the screeching void. In the distance you see the glint of the friendly ship you are expecting... or is it? It is time to relax... or is it?
As your adventure begins, a theme begins to play in the background, you listen to it and know what will happen next.
What is that theme?
For me, it's the Tron: Legacy soundtrack - this says everything about the "new dawn in the ME universe" context perfectly - if I were developing such a game I'd probably have the whole thing on a loop.
The Transformers: The Movie soundtrack.
Here's some of Ryder's future playlist
