Add me to the minority of minority sub group as well. 4 out of my 5 playthroughs have been as male Inquisitors and I have no *checks* dangle bag . I RP characters though, rather than play myself. I romance Dorian, who is my favourite companion (maybe many women play as men for this reason, I don't want to make a sweeping statement that I can't back up though - it's not my only reason). I'm already thinking of my next Inquisitor, who I think will be female. This has nothing to do with being a woman myself though.

Oh, me too  I RP characters too, instead of playing myself

I want(ed) to romance everyone at least once, but when I've done that, I'm gonna just create charas which I'm in the mood for. So far I played:

fem!Adaar (Necro), was supposed to romance Bull, but fell in love with Josie

male!Lavellan (Rift mage), was supposed to romance Dorian, but fell in love with Cass  <-- this is my canon WS

I'm currently in my 3rd PT, romancing Solas with a DW/Tempest and can't decide who's supposed next.

Either Cullen (Lavellan (KE)) or Dorian (Tevelyan (Reaver)) (sometimes I wished Cullen were bi, then I had romanced him with Bruce, I loooved flirting with him in Haven xD)

I'm in the minority of minority as well ! I play a male Inquisitor who's romancing Cass (though I do have a female Inquisitor as well. She's just not my canon playthrough). Should we start a club or something ?

Yes, let's start a club, sounds like fun.

All my boys have flirted with Cullen, it's just too tempting to pass up - so adorable. They all ended up romancing that Mage. My female DW rogue romanced Solas - she looked so fragile but ended up being the biggest damage dealer I've created. I'm thinking human female next, to avoid the temptations of Dorian and Solas. Maybe Blackwall for her, or Cullen (or both, heh).

To be fair, the only times Bull talks about sex or attraction, it's always about women. He buys Cole a female prostitute (though this doesn't imply anything, but I mean, how do you know he is into women, Bull? I guess it's the Ben Hassrath training or whatever), talks about letting female servants ride on top of him, about the blonde servant with the huge ****** (Sera banter), about the redhead female elf (Sera banter), about the redhead servant girl (tavern banter with Inq), and he openly flirts with Cassandra.

The only times we see clear hints of his same sex attraction is when he hits on Dorian and his relationship with the male Inquisitor. After that it's up to the player to really interpretate the rest. There is a discussion with him and Blackwall where he is complimenting his '' grib '' on his '' sword '' which can be seen as nothing but joking around and being silly and crude. Then there's his discussion with Blackwall about how Bull misses the banana's from Par Vollen, to which Blackwall replies '' I hope you're talking about the fruit. '' To me, both of those instances that can be seen as nothing but teasing jokes.

I can't really think of anything Bull says about sex that can't be seen as teasing jokes.  His dial is permanently set to "teasing joke".  Sex, the act, that is, not Krem's gender identity thing.

Same did all my girls with Cass  My Tempest even got the turn down scene

Spoiler

Oh yes, that mage, it was so, so hard not to flirt anymore with Dorian after Bruce was in a romance with Cass, but he would've never cheated on Cass, so that was out of question.  :?

Everything the IB says is a teasing joke, really.

Then there's this discussion:

Iron Bull: He's not just an object to quench your desires, Cass. Make sure you undress him with your eyes... respectfully.

Inquisitor: I'm sorry, what are you two talking about?

Iron Bull: Your naked body. Well, I'm talking about it. Cassandra's just glaring and turning red.

And even with this, I'm mostly hearing Iron Bull trying to tease Cass and Inq.

But, IB IS bisexual and that is a fact. I just wish BW made more effort into showing that aspect of him. I do feel like he was made to be a '' open-minded '' straight, but then at the last minute changed to bisexual because honestly, it does fit his character. I would have enjoyed hearing him talk about his love for the male body more, to be honest.

I don't disagree, I think it would have been good if he showed more interest in men, and he's definitely the type of character who puts his thoughts out there, so it would make sense. I didn't know the disparity was quite so large though, since I've never heard any of that banter with Sera.

Poorly worded on my part. I thought her romance was written for women playing male characters. Her being bi did seem like an afterthought

Ah, okay, that makes more sense to me.

This doesn't strike me as likely. Women playing male characters are a minority of a minority among players, even assuming that subgroup actually has coherent tastes that could be catered to.

Anecdotal of course, but I've seen tons of women who at least sometimes play male characters. It's really not that uncommon. A lot of the more passionate fans will have at least one playthrough of each gender.
