Have a female dwarf with a beard.
I don't play female characters so no ty.
Well, Blackwall does say he stole all the beards and all the power held within.
I'll just hafta steal them back I guess! I wonder if there's a facial hair mod for elves...

I wonder if Solas was actually serious when he implied that Blackwall is wrong about elves being unable to grow a beard.
I wanna know what's up with the elves and facial hair. I figured they'd be smooth like dolphins, but Sarel, Fenris, and even some (unmodded, I think??) male Lavellans have random stubble or a five o' clock shadow going on. Wtf?

Why do we assume the ancient elves don't have hair on their heads? Solas shaving his head is arguably a style.
Wish they did tbf my elves look 15 and it breaks immersion

None of the mosaics in the Temple of Mythal depict hair. They also have Solas's unusually high-set eyes. Of course, that could be because they're all highly stylized, but I'm wondering if it was a clue.
I found it funny that Solas suddenly grew a pair of Abelas thighs at the end of Trespasser.
Also, one of the ancient sentinel elves is female right? The one that you have to follow around the temple. She has that same body too.
Sarel is the manliest elf of all time. Look at this fucker's jaw.
That's the face of a guy that could break a shem in two with his bare hands.
Maybe he just became bald like anyone else.
That's what the complexion options are for.
None of the complexions are good
In DAI.....
Is this what will happen in the new DA game???

Juicy abs and bold legs XD Definitly a fine speciment of "Elvhen Glory", Could rub my face on that pack all day.................. Y////Y ![]()
He looks Okay to me? I belive the Elvhen are supposed to look better than the Elves, I mean they are just slave remnants now and mostly spent their time malnurished, as slaves, hobos, city hobos or wandering hobos. :III Sorry.
But for my Lavellan I used a mod, I really disliked her being so scrawny.

Dayum that AB(s)elas........ he's some fine piece of meat XD OH YEAH.

Dunno if anyone noticed ... BUT HERE YOU GO
THAT ASS YUM.
Gimme that Elvhen warrior butt. XD
MHHHHHHHHHH~ SO DERICIOUS XDDDDDDDDD !!!
Ok ... I will stop now xDDDDDDDDD
People seems to forget that city elves are poor...and the dales lives in harsh conditions...Fenris was a slave he probably did not have the most balanced diet.

Hard to say, but each game has further ruined the elf design, especially the male version in DAI. I had to download a mod to make my male elf Inquisitor look somewhat normal - i.e. with arms that don't look like they would snap lifting a two-handed sword and a torso that tapers from the shoulders to the hips. Before downloading that mod I hardly ever played an elf because of how bad they looked.

What elf design? There wasn't any elf design prior to DA2, since DAOs elves were basically slightly shrunken, human models with pointy ears, not visible with about half of the hairstyles.
I think out of all elves Solas is only male elf in DA:I with normal elf male body(that armor is only making it look weird).
Rest of male elves all share female elf body, minus bewbs....though they still have it....same size I had once I hit puberty lol

But that's always what elves are in fantasy (modern) media.

And? So nobody is allowed to change it ever again?

Since I played on PC, I used a body mod. I really disliked these disgraceful stick arms and that anorexic body shape and small legs.

Cool, thanks!

They can change whatever they like. But we use names to convey meaning. If I call something an "elf" but it's really a 60 foot tall transforming monster truck, then maybe I need to rethink the name.
Elves should look like Legolas and Elrond.
DA elves don't deserve to look like the Eldar
But DA elves aren't that. They are a humanoid race that happens to look a bit skinny compared to normal humans. They can change whatever they like. But we use names to convey meaning. The point is that "elf" has a defined meaning, and a defined imagine. More to the point, "humanoid" has a defined aesthetic. Fiction has very different forms of "elf" depending on what the author wants to convey. If DA:I wanted to convey "sickly and weak", then we wouldn't have this debate (we would have one about whether it was worth it to portray a race that way). But DA:I didn't want to convey an aesthetic of sickly and weak - this is why none of the elven NPCs actually look like they have the same frame or rig as the Inquisitor.
Anyway, are we back to beating the humanoid horse dead? In DA:I, they're not "a bit skinny" compared to humans. They're terrifying starved. We're talking about this level of skinny:
