I tried a solo Gold against reaper with the kroguard and well, the quantity of enemies is crazy. Without maxed rare/ultra rare weapons, not sure I can do it.

I could try a Jugg on Rio and abuse the container stuff, though. It'd take a long time but that could work. The main issue with the Jugg is that he lacks firepower, imo. Siege Pulse is good, but slow, and using it will make you vulnerable.

All the other characters are too squishy to endure a Gold with a medium-low manifest.

Anyone here was able to complete the Lone Wolf banner without having a good manifest?

Why didn't you take Geth for enemies ? It would have been easier...

Do you have the Reegar ? Even at level 1 it will do the job.

Just know when you can and when you can't charge at a given enemy, be patient, and take your time, and it should be fairly simple (although if you don't need to do it against the Reapers, I'd recommend White/Geth or Giant/Geth - those might be the easiest combos). What weapon are you using?

I tried Geth earlier, it was quite tough too. Too many bombers, pyros, rockets and primers at the same time -_-

I have a Reegar II. Maybe with Incendiary III... I have only one of those.

That's what I have. I'll try the Reegar again but low level weapons suck a bit on Gold.

For Kroguard against Geth there are plenty vids, some even with comentary. example (didn't watch it, though)

There are other possible options, most involve Geth and Giant. For example: FQI+Mantis, SE+Mattock, Saboturian+Eviscerator (maybe not ;))

I myself did my very first gold solo with a Justicar+Talon lvl.I against Reapers on Giant. There was a lot of screaming (banshees and me) and kiting and it took veeery long.

I've watched videos, I know the theory, I know when I can charge sync killers and I know how to use ramp not to get sync killed. The issue is quantity. I'm not good at getting surrounded :P

I'll try once with the Jugg and if that doesn't work, I guess I have most of the kits and weapons you mentioned.

In my experience the Jugg get's swarmed even more easy. But try it anyway.

In fact my best advice would be to solo with a character you feel most comfortable with and enjoy playing actually. Because the first gold solo usually will take you a while, so better make it a good time.

Good luck. :)

You got a point, and he's also slow so that my hinder objectives.

Well, I believe the first step is to farm credits to buy lots of jumbo packs, because right now I'm low om gels.

Thanks for the tips ;)

Krogan Battlemaster with a Wraith or similiar shotgun is one of the easiest setups. Geth/Glacier gives you plenty of cover for the moments when you can't charge. Disruptor Ammo works quite well with that. Prioritize Pyros, Bombers and Primes. Skip melee and Carnage, use BC as often as possible to reload cancel and grab a few enemies for the brief invulnerability when necessary. 25-30min.

Or if you really want to do the box of shame, then slap the Reegar on your Juggernaut. Since you're standing right on top of an ammo box, even a lvl2 Reegar won't run out of ammo too soon. Incendiary ammo and go. I recommend Cerberus or Geth for that, because the other factions have bosses with a nasty melee they use often and you are not going to survive two Banshees and a Brute on top of being shot at, blown up by grenades etc if you can't move. It's not how I'd play it but if you're confident in your survival, go for it. 40-50min.

I remember a friend completing it in less than 5 hours on his new account, so I think I can assume he didn't have maxed rares. It's totally possible.

The only Drell I have is the Adept, which is a squishy bastard. This friend of yours must have been some heavy prior experience to the game or MP.

i dont think i wld prioritize primes ...

ANYWAY OP, as u said on for silver, krogan battlemaster vs geth has no match on gold either (nothing is as easy). If u have a cyclo 3 at least.

if u constantly move (if possible close to RHA spots) and use charge to relocate and recharge your shield, u almost cant die as i remember it.

Maybe it s because i did it much further away along the road than u. But i m pretty sure an eviscerator 10 or an arc pistol III is more than enough.

At least i ll teach u some basics about positionning.

i think u can tank 2 primes and some mooks in the open with a low CD on charge and a cyclo IV

I can't solo for beans, but I managed 5 Waves Survived twice in a row with a KroLord using a GPS (FB White vs Geth, of course.)

I have only 1 Cyclonic III, none IV. How do I get IV stuff anyway? Never got any consumable above III.

Not sure about the beans stuff, but yes, I have a GPS, however it's I, so that would hinder my cd on BC quite a lot. Maybe the best balance after all is the Reegar. It's heavier than the Eviscerator, but it kills stuff faster too.

However I made my mind already: I'll need patience and lots of gels as this will take be quite a lot of trials to pull out.

In the meantime, I'll promote all classes I haven't promoted yet, play some Silver some fun and buy 1 Jumbo pack (pretty much) per match. Then, when I have around 60 to 80 gels, I might try Gold solo again.

Yes he had. As I said, it was his second account, and he was a very good player. My point was that it's more dependant on the player's skills and experience than on his manifest :) Although that helps too, obviously.

probably better that u dont buy expensive packs for now, but u should get some level IV stuff with spectre pack or is it only when u have maxxed the rare ?

Anyway, if u practice a bit with cyclo II and go up to w7, u should be able to finish with a cyclo III i m sure.

Reegar 2, arc pistol 1, GPS 1, piranha 4, eviscerator X and katana X  should all work well i think, acolyte one too if u support the charging mechanics.

Skip melee

[X] Reported.

Multiple times!!!!

Note that during Krogan heavy melee, you have a huge amount of DR, so charge - melee - shoot - melee - reload - charge gets you a lot of survivability.

i think i ll go like this with your manifest and use melee occasionnaly for finishing mooks and get in rage mode.

Dont forget you have a panic button with barrier to stagger an overcrowding group of mooks, then charge your way out.

There are details I don't know, but basically, whenever you have a Gold slot in a pack, but no available Gold unlocks, you get a random level IV instead. The exception would be if you hit the drop rate for an Ultra Rare and still have URs to unlock. Once all those are unlocked, those drops will be replaces by Level IVs as well.

Not sure about the beans stuff

Oh, trust me. I have two gold solos, and the first one took 93 minutes after about 32 tries (I refer to it as "The 93-Minute Monstrosity.)

The second one is the one I did with the KroLord. 5 Waves Survived and then a disconnect on Wave 7, followed by a successful attempt of about 37 minutes. The kit did most of the work for me.

I have a GPS, however it's I, so that would hinder my cd on BC quite a lot. Maybe the best balance after all is the Reegar. It's heavier than the Eviscerator, but it kills stuff faster too.

The GPS was chosen because it synergizes well with the KroLord build I was using. It provides convenient stagger, doesn't weigh too much (cooldowns are less of  factor with the EH build) and can still unleash decent damage at range.

Of course, mine's at X, so I am long past being able to accurately judge the effects of using it at level one to solo Gold with a KroLord.

But from the sounds of things, you might do yourself a favour by sparing the headache and leaving the accomplishment for when you have a few more options with your manifest. If you want, you could play around a bit in PuGs preset to Geth with a KroLord GPS and see how you might use it. If the synergy seems to come naturally, you could try the setup for a Gold Solo.

Yeah but it takes too long and you have higher dps using a shotgun, especially with the 5a evo from BC. It's more efficient to keep enemies in front of you instead of heavy-melee-stumbling right into them. There's no problem headbutting a mook here or there but it shouldn't be your primary approach to killing. BC kills count as melee kills, so you get your Rage on anyway.

Btw... about making Primes a priority after Pyros and Bombers: They are among the few enemies that can kill you quickly but if you continue to charge them, the AoE effect of BC will take care of the drone and turret as well as any mooks in the area. Well, in close quarters anyway, which is why I recommended Glacier. On other maps you need to use different tactics of course.

I did my most of my Gold solos like that. 10 waves survived, ~23min. No big deal.

Build: http://kalence.drupa...24J53334!E.FEGL

Gear and ammo can be changed to something else, I've had just as much success with Martial Biotic Amp and Incendiary ammo as well as with something to boost shields... but in the end a good offense is the best defense. Kill them before they can kill you.

Yes, I know. No one is saying he has to do this right now. Solos are usually the last thing you attempt, precisely because they are easier with better gear and weapons.
