Man, you guys have gone soft.
I blame it on the Genophage dude.
We've all gone soft because of it.

I googled it: Learn to play.
Well, that's what I'm doing here since I started 2 months ago: learning. And I must, I learned a lot. I wouldn't be playing gold without the useful advices from you, BSNers ![]()
I forget now whether I had a Crusader or Wraith, but I did mine (boringly) on Giant with a Krogan.
Falling back around the map, against Geth.
I found the key was not getting too greedy and and falling back after taking out a few foes, it was the swarming that would get me.
And I wasn't fast doing it that way, if fact very pedestrian.
But reliably.
Or because you're using a Disciple, which staggers things. Including bosses. They won't do the stagger that will make them take a step back, but it's stagger nonetheless.
Yeah, I discounted hit reactions I guess. Disciple has marginally better hit reaction chance than the other shotguns. Gold Prime hit reaction chance multiplier is something like 0.3 though.
But the Reegar obliterates shields
With some AP or Inci, it should be decent vs armor.
Yes. I would run AP until you get shredder or hvb for shotguns though.
I've been testing Gold Solo naked and I've improved quite a lot.
My results so far:
- Made it as far as W7, using consumables. Now I play without using gels. If I drop, I die and start again;
- Being mobile helps greatly, however you still get ambushed at times;
- Full melee build with the Kroguard is quite powerful: BC + HM = dead rocket or hunter. For Pyros, add another light melee or 2;
- I still can't take 2 Primes together being naked. I use missiles;
- Not being able to roll is still an issue when I want to retreat from a crowd, I need to turn my back to them, and then I can get staggered. If I walk backwards, I don't see the path and I'm slow;
- Disciple gives me 200% cd, which helps a lot;
- In some cases, headshoting a Prime with it staggers them.
That's what I remember for now.
You are taking a very unusual approach. If you want to actually complete a gold solo, I would equip consumables and the best weapon/mod combo you have that will give you the most DPS. You need to be able to kill stuff quick! Really would not opt for the Disciple.
And at least put on some pants ![]()

I'm just practicing. I'm not trying to make to to w11. When I try I'll put on pants.
Pfft, pants. Don't give in to peer pressure, be free like the wind. ![]()
A little late but if you can master the Asari Vanguard she is immensely powerful thanks to the boosted Lift Grenades.
You'd ideally want a hard hitting close range weapon like the Hurricane or Talon or Wraith, not sure what your manifest contains.
She can also work with Acolyte (strip shields, charge, toss grenade if necessary).

I'd have to promote Vanguards and I specced her for a different build. But I'll stick to the kroguard, he's fun (They're dead!).
The asari vanguard is cute though, when she says "For Thessia!".
My first solo gold was with the Krogan and lots and lots of fire grenades against the geth (firebase White)., it wasn't pretty but I got it done. Trick is to NEVER stop running..., ever.
Cheers
Made it w8 naked. I'm running much more but sometimes I still stay put.
I only have 2 cobras 3 survival 4 gels and 2 ammo. So that doesn't help much. I know that the last 3 waves are the hardest so I have a long way to go.
I would just wait a little if I were you, until you get at least 4 consumables of each sort. Only 2 missiles means that basically you can't nuke any spawn in the last waves. This means long and quite painful solos, even more that you still miss most of the most powerful / solos friendly characters in the game, and that your best weapons are at very low levels.
Sorry my mistake. I have 3 cobras and 2 ops. Things would be much better if the game didn't give me devices
I know I should kite but devices sucks anyway.
Concentrate on getting better gear and more consumables, then do your solos. It's the faster solution overall.
^ But the sooner you get lolLoneWolf, the sooner you stop getting lolkicked.

Yeah? Never happened to me.

Warp ammo is most effective on targets that have been primed with biotics (Warp, Reave, DC, DS, Stasis, Pull, Singularity, AF, Lash, Smash, Barrier).
Most effective... I see. But if I shoot the target then charge, wouldn't my BC get bonus dmg due to the ammo power?
Not sure what you mean, but lets say you Reave, all Warp ammo shots do extra dmg. But as soon as you detonate Reave with Cluster nades, your Warp ammo doesn't get the dmg bonus anymore until you prime the enemy with Reave again.
Biotic Charge does not prime for combos, so it does not give Warp ammo dmg bonus.
I listed all biotic primers. ^^

Warp ammo doesn't prime the target.

You didn't.
Biotic Sphere (with Rank 6 Warp Effect evolution), Shockwave (with Rank 6 Lifting Shockwave evolution), Lift Grenades.
I didn't know that Barrier primes, though.
I understand now it worked with stuff that are biotically primed already. I'll check AP, might be a better option.
The armor weakening works for all dmg sources? If I shoot a prime with AP ammo then HM it, does my HM does more dmg?
