Hey,

 

I just recently started a new playthrough. I wanted to "soften" Leliana this time. I know that to do this, you have to tell her not to kill the traitor, tell her that the men were not disposable and tell her not to kill the person in the chantry.

 

However, somehow, I forgot to talk to her entirely in Haven. As a result, I never got the traitor dialogue. Does this mean I screwed up? Will she be hardened after all? 

 

Also, does anyone know anything I else I missed out on (codex entries and the like) by not talking to her at Haven?

I'm not sure about codex entries and such, but I do know that, unless something changed, you must get that initial dialogue in Haven to soften her. Otherwise, she will remain hardened. 

 

If you want to soften her, you'll have to load a previous save.

Not talking to her basically counts as the 'do nothing' option in that conversation so she will remain hardened.

If you never talk to her for the entire game, however, she is neither, and comes off as wishy-washy and ineffective in Trespasser (as Divine in my game, as it turned out).
